This breeder is scamming people into buying very sicks kittens by falsifying the kittens health records. Here is my story:
I got a kitten from this breeder on 4/3/23. When I got the kitten home my sister (who is a vet technician) said she had a fever just by feeling her hot body. We took her temp with a thermometer and it was 104.5. My sister said I needed to rush her to a vet as this was extremely high for a kitten. She was also sneezing/snotting green which is a bad sign. $450 later, the kitten is very sick. The vet said she had a respiratory infection and possibly feline herpes. The vet gave me 4 medications she has to take twice a day. When I contacted the breeder, Daniel, he asked why I would take her to the vet and the problem would be solved by giving her some food. He clearly does not know how to care for cats/kittens.
Daniel will not refund me either. I just read a review (too little to late) where another man said he get a very sick kitten from FurBelles and even said the health papers given are faked. The health pamphlet they give with the kitten can be purchased online to anyone and that their cat didn't even receive the vaccines it was supposed to come with, as indicated on the health pamphlet.
FurBelles is 100% scamming people with sicks kittens they get from god knows where.
I would like to notify others so they do not get scammed like I did.
Desired outcome: Their website and all social media needs to be shutdown. They need to be shutdown entirely from selling kittens.
I am so sadden to say the kitten i purchased from Daniel’s furbelle cattery, ended up having several health issues and succumbed to it Thursday evening (2/15/24). My sweet baby, Cannoli I actually got a year ago was the sweetest kitty. Unfortunately Cannoli was diagnosed with wet FIP which has an awful prognosis and high chance of fatality. We fought that battle after thousands of dollars, endless aches in our heart, and a horrible journey for both Cannoli and I, we still held out some hope. We made it to the end of treatment, as we were at the vet Cannoli began defecating and urinating herself and became paralyzed. Imaging showed she actually had a spinal compression she must’ve had since she was a kitten? and Ultrasound showed she had a Feline Aortic Thromboembolism (FATE) and there was nothing more we could do at that point. For people who don’t know FIP is caused by fatal systemic corona virus infection which IS contagious and Cannoli ended up having HCM gene (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) which is GENETIC. please if you have purchased a kitten here, please get them screened for bmp and cardiac screening. What he is doing is animal cruelty.. I lost my best friend and when I informed Daniel of her FIP diagnosis, he was completely unsympathetic and ghosted me.
Hello, We have a similar story with our kitten we adopted from this awful place. He came home and within a couple of weeks everyone had contracted ringworm from him. After that was treated,he was ok for a little while (outwardly at least) up until a couple of weeks ago his behavior changing as he became lethargic, sleeping all of the time, not playful anymore and progressively not being able to walk property. We spent hundreds of dollars trying to pinpoint the issue, possibly FIP, or mycoplasmosis, toxic plasmosis was also a possibility, unfortunately we will never know because today we had to say goodbye to our little guy and give him peace, he was too weak to walk and too weak to withstand any course of treatment. Daniel thinks by playing dumb he can get away with this. I got the same runaround when trying to get compensated.We need to get him shut down and held accountable.
I lost my kitty around the same time you did. I’m absolutely heartbroken. He needs to be held responsible for all his wrongdoings
Hi Carly, I'm very sorry to hear that you had a similar situation and unfortunate outcome as we did. I contacted the better business bureau and enlisted their help via a formal complaint and aldy they reached out to Daniel on our behalf to mediate. Through personal correspondence with Daniel, I was fortunately able to get our initial payment refunded. This doesn't help with the loss we are feeling, but it brings some accountability at least. My advice is to keep trying to contact him. Do not threaten or be aggressive, however you can make your intent to pursue legal action via a letter of intent to sue, which you can obtain through a law firm for a fee. This will give you legal backing and hopefully incline him to give you a refund. Let me know how it goes.
Is Furbelles the breeder in Manheim Township that was just raided?
I just bought a kitten from him on 3/10 and I am 2k in vet bills. I have the sweetest girl and these cats aren’t kept in clean conditions. She also has ringworm everywhere and gave it to me! Daniel suggested I stop going to the vet since the bills are expensive. They need to be stopped.
How is your baby now? Mine also sneezes multiple times in a row and the vet said she probably has herpes. I’m currently waiting on a PCR panel result list because my baby has had constant diarrhea since she came home, it is uncontrollable and she is in pain and lethargic. Breaks my heart.
This same thing happened to me from a kitten I purchased on 5/15!
