Job Card No: RF089236

This matter refers to the above mentioned job card done on the 02 October 2021. The car was towed in for overheating and leaking water.

Then after assessment the following findings were made:
- Overheating and work to be carried out includes (kit repair wpump, gasket waterpump, antifreeze 1l, belt timing, belt and pully tensioner)

Background
The car was brought in for service at 120 000km in January 2021. On the tax invoice it is evident that the cambelt and waterpump were not checked as expected for vehicles with mileage between 100 000km to 120 000km.

In May 2021 it was towed in for overheating which is exactly the same problem as the current situation. On the job card it reflects that they replaced the water bottle, rubber hoses and bleed with bleed with anti-freeze.
There is no indication that water pressure was checked after fitment of water bottle.

On careful examination of the two invoices it is evident that the vehicle mileage was the same between January and May. Current mileage recording is at 22233.

Conclusion

From the observation one can conclude that there is an intention to avoid culpability and accountability from the poor workmanship for the repairs that was done in May 2021. Therefore, it does not make sense how they reached to the current quote for the same problem.

Desired outcome: revised quotation and proper service so that i dont experience same problem in short space of time
