I have had a rough exp with Florida Herp in the last week or so and have the whole transaction history in email and Facebook (facebook has been edited lol but I screen shot it all...)the whole situation has soured me. I want a refund and to be done with it and was told to review the policy (I had misunderstood the 1st time amphibians were not covered but reptiles were due to reading the Facebook page before it was brought to their attention stated "Everything had 100% Live guarantee" so knowing what I wanted went straight to the site and order, afterwards they did edit facebook, I have all the before edit screen shots also). On Christmas eve my lil brother christmas present a red eyed tree frog was dead. He buried it in a box in the backyard. I sent an email stating I knew it was the holidays but when they have time can they help me with where to go from here. The shipping was 45 min late so Florida Herps is entitled to a REFUND from shipping. So they have money from the late shipping, MY money from shipping AND the cost of the frog, I am a sad customer with a lil brother that was instructed to dig up dead frog and take pictures on christmas morning with it on the shipping label so cust serv could have it. THEN I get an email from Lonna that says I should have reviewed their policy (she left me a link) and informed me that another customer had the exact order (amphibian) exact problem with exact result (dead frog) BUT because she liked him better than me he is being sent a replacement frog and I will not be. Then why on earth would we have to dig up, handle a dead creature TAKE PICS for no reason what so ever? C'mon now.

I have to agree that the young man that posted this complaint is Sam Sundberg of Backwater Reptiles. He has been doing this for weeks and will more than likely end up in court for slandering Dr. Bill and his company. Florida Herps is a reptile seller that has been around since the 90's. I've been to their place near Sarasota many times over the past decade. You do have to call ahead of time, they are not a typical store. But you can go out there and buy reptiles. They have 4 buildings all packed full. They are located at 3809 Lorraine Road Lakewood Ranch, FL 34211. They have a couple toll free numbers listed [protected] & [protected]. In our local phone book they also have a local number [protected]. Last Christmas I went out to their farm and picked out a Russian Tortoise baby and had them ship it to my nephew in Vermont. The box had 2" thick foam insulation and a 60 hour heat pack shipped overnight. My nephew Aaron said the little bugger was warm inside, it was in the 20's up there! So I have no idea why this loser is going around lying about a well known company that anyone can look-up or for that matter CALL and ask them questions, like can they go visit their place. I just don't get Sam's motivation for going around trying to make real reptile companies look bad. Calling Florida Herps a drop shipper when Backwater is actually nothing but a website with no real animals in stock aka a drop shipper is just plain dumb. If you order a reptile from Florida Herps it ships from their city. If you order from Backwater (CA), General Exotics (OK), Reptile City (TX), Reptiles N Critters (NY), etc they will all just have a real company in Florida ship for them. Websites like this one here should verify people before letting them post lies. This website is not something I would trust for the simple fact anyone can post and say anything about anyone or company.

When Florida Herps (A "Real" Reptile Company) refused to ship animals for this kid he started posting lies about them. This has already been proven when Sam owner of Backwater Reptiles was caught red handed via IP addresses creating fake accounts and acting like a customer of Florida Herps. This is the worse kind of person, malice and full of hate. He doesnt even care about the reptiles he has other companies ship for him. He never sees anything. He is a worthless dropshipper and he has the balls to come here and lie and slander Florida Herps AGAIN after being caught several times already. He even goes around the web creating fake accounts like "Shorky" "Crevalle" "MichelleR" etc... and flat out lies about his compeition. AVOID BACKWATER REPTILES. THE OWNER IS A LIAR AND A CON ARTIST!
