We hired Fieldstone Windows and Doors to install $450,000 worth of Loewen windows. They were recommended by Loewen and certified to install their windows. Unfortunately, Fieldstone does not know how to follow Loewen guidelines for new construction. They completely destroyed some of the windows and the building envelop. Loewen was destroyed. They didn't use caulking as Loewen recommended. They tried to use inferior products that do not meet basic building codes including red tuck tape. The had no regard for construction hours and worked beyond 7pm. But the biggest problems were that the windows and doors were installed wrong even when they were told how to install the products. They had no idea how to use mullions. Doors would not close. They broke tiles. And they also let the family dog out despite being told five times to close the doors. All in all, they were a problem and should only do small window replacement jobs (even though they will likely do those wrong as well). It would help if more of their staff spoke english.
