I filed a service ticket for leaking water heater at my home. Fidelity after consulting with their service vendor informed me that as my water heater is still in manufacturer's warranty, Fidelity wont cover the cost of the water heater, but they would only cover the cost of labor for installation. At this point, I worked with the manufacturer to get a new water heater shipped to my home. However during installation of the water heater, the vendor sent by Fidelity tried up selling multiple new subpar parts at very high markup. The parts proposed by the vendor were sub par compared to the ones which were already installed. The vendor refused to complete the installation unless I purchased those specific parts from them. I had consulted with few other plumbing companies before, all of them recommended the parts like the Drip pan, Supply Lines didn't need any change.
Fidelity is refusing to provide the installation of the water heater replacement unless their vendor provide the parts at a very high markup. Besides, the CIL offer from Fidelity is less then 20% of what it is the market price to install the water heater.
Fidelity is not acting in good faith to provide service to their customer. This highly deceptive business practice where Fidelity charges hundreds of dollars for the Contract and service fees but won't provide the promised service as per their contract unless we buy extra products from their vendor.
Desired outcome: I want fidelity to pay the cost of water heater installation since I can't wait to get this ticket resolved to get hot water at my home
