This is not the first time this has happened but by far the most blatant example of Lawton Oklahoma Fidelity Internet predatory billing. 4 Nov22 I received a bill which was due 7Nov22. Furthermore the 7th fell on a Monday, so two of those days were weekend days. I mailed the bill immediately with payment for current month as well as the following month. We've seen this pattern before.

We prefer to pay utilities by check as a business. We have previously used the on-line payment portal but the process frequently hangs your session so we ended up paying by mail anyway. Paying by phone generates a 30- minute wait, which is usually a few seconds less than 30 minutes since being on hold for longer than that generates a negative flagging on hold times. Again we've seen this behavior before from this vendor.

In an invoice dated 8 Nov (today) they had me delinquent with late fees as of today. Bill invoiced today AND arrived today however it appears they receive and process payments more slowly. Perhaps to encourage automatic payment options, but payments by check sometimes take multiple days to process for unknown reasons.

They are quick to disconnect for a non-payment status, however, often noon the next day. Thes type of interruptions are not desirable when everything from your cameras to your register credit card processing is affected.

We consider this billing predatory and borderline illegal (unethical in the very least) in accordance to general business practices.

Desired outcome: Provide the customary 15-28 payment period between due date and invoice delivery. Process check promptly. Fix your internet payment interface.
