FAS Windows and Doors are not the way to go to replace windows if you want your order to be right the first time with good installation.

I ordered 4 Wincore tempered low e glass windows from FAS. They did not deliver what I ordered. They installed the wrong windows then refused to fix the problem and wanted full payment for the botched job. after much agonizing negotitiations they finally said to keep the windows without paying or warranty because the windows had failed city inspection. However they then renigged on that deal and filed a contruction lien!

Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT HONEST NOR COMPETENT.

It's been a few years since I last posted about Dr. Zebranek since he falsely accused FAS Windows & Doors of taking advantage of him. I received an update a week ago that Dr. Zebranek has been arrested in Texas for perjury and money laundering.

You can find out more information on the arrest by searching James Zebranek Texas Arrest.
Here are the links to news stories and public reports of the arrest of Dr. Jim Zebranek:

Dr Zebranek is actually not a Doctor, they revoked his license.
Hes been arrested and is one of those guys you read about, a real ### that is sue happy.
He Lies and has no morals or ethics.
He preys on good companies to try to find things for free.
He once made McDonalds give him 20 big macs or he was going to sue.
Simply Google his name and you will see what I am talking about. Oh by the way, hes got zero money!
Heres a pic of him when they brought him back in shackles from out of the Country

This is a response to (jdzjr) Dr. Jim Zebranek’s less than accurate description of his experience with FAS Windows & Doors. FAS Windows & Doors has not lied or been dishonest with Dr. Zebranek in any way, in fact, Dr. Zebranek has 4 windows installed in his house without paying a penny towards his balance. The truth is, there was an ordering error that occurred, due to a communication mix up with the Sales Rep and Dr. Zebranek, mistakes happen and when they do FAS Windows & Doors will always make the situation right, unfortunately Dr. Zebranek decided not to pay anything toward his balance and never gave us the opportunity to correct our mistakes.

Dr. Zebranek mentioned that the Winter Park inspector flunked FAS Windows & Doors window installation, this was true but it was because the inspector couldn’t enter the premises to inspect the windows, not due to bad product or improper installation. The inspector was sent back to Dr. Zebranek’s property and the window inspection passed on 12/21/2009 without issue.

Dr. Zebranek also claims that I called him over and over with a deceitful tone, again this is not true, I called multiple times to get the issues resolved and ensure we could have the opportunity to swap the non-laminated sashes for the laminated sashes that were ordered to complete the job. Dr. Zebranek stopped communicating with us on November 6th of 2009, when he stated that he was going to walk away and leave things how they are, unfortunately that meant that the job was not complete and not paid for. This communication is the first we’ve heard from Dr. Zebranek since November.

Dr. Zebranek discussed how FAS Windows & Doors placed a lien on his house; understandably we needed to take this action because Dr. Zebranek wouldn’t respond to phone calls, emails, or certified mail correspondence about completing his job to a point of satisfaction and a lien was our last option to try and secure payment for our services. In business mistakes happen, no company is completely mistake free, but we need to opportunity to remedy the situation, then when satisfaction is met, payment is expected. Again, I’ll mention that at this date, Dr. Zebranek has not paid one dollar for our products and services, then never gave us the opportunity to fix the situation.

I have every email correspondence (willing to share and post), a passed inspection (12/21/09), and laminated sashes to complete the job in our warehouse, we just need the opportunity to close the job and move on.

FAS Windows & Doors has a 5 year history of providing top notch window and door installation along with superior service in the Central Florida area; in fact the vast majority of our business comes from customer referrals. I welcome anyone reading this response to research our company on Google, Angie’s List, the Better Business Bureau or any related search engine you can think of. Alternatively I also welcome you to search Dr. Jim Zebranek on Google and compare the results that you find.

My suggestion may seem unorthodox, but in this difficult time of business it is important for me to clarify how good of an organization that FAS Windows & Doors is, for both our employees and our customers, and I need people to understand that the review you read from Dr. Jim Zebranek is inaccurate, unethical, and frankly disappointing.

As the situation stands now, FAS Windows & Doors will be more than happy to install the remaining sashes, collect our money, satisfy the lien and move on.
