Sent a 50% deposit of $500 AUS to Farrell Hair Systems on a repair to my original hair system about 7 - 8 months ago. I purchased two systems some years back 2015, with Richard telling me originally a fitting and cut in would be made available in Australia, as I lived in Australia. I was told later, after payment of course, this was cancelled, and that road trips were no longer being done, which was a lie, and I had to come to the USA for a cut in and fit and style to there LA salon. They had agreed to forgo the second cost of the system to make allowances for the cancellation. I had travel, accommodation, transport and food expenses? But guess what, is was $2,400 to start with, so in fact I believe it was already paid for? I had reservations about this company, after initial reviews from 7- 8 years ago, legal lawsuits etc, were mixed and many negative, and I only purchased products from them. They were okay in this period, but when it came down to it, they are just an online hair system company. They do on road trips to different countries, give a spin that it can be fitted in your country, and then later pull out once you have paid. It is all talk and smoke and mirrors this company, who are big on marketing spin. If you live in California or close by it may work, but overall it is just too expensive. It took 7 - 8 months for a system repair to get close to being ready as they claimed the production staff was not available due to the pandemic. They indicated the system could be completed by pictures and samples. I thought they had my details on the prior order with specifications. But no this was not the case. I had reservations and later cancelled, as I was concerned about paying for something unseen and not cut in. I got the cold shoulder and no received no response whatsoever. I paid close to $500 for the repair. I got nothing for this after after sending the damaged unit by air some 7 - 8 months ago. The money was taken without telling me the production team was not producing any product? I heard nothing back from them. I am unsure if Richard Farrell is still there, or if they are still trading? He did my initial cut in. A very shady and money hungry company. I will take my business here locally from know on. I highly recommend to approach this dubious set up with caution. It probably makes sense to avoid them entirely.

Desired outcome: Refund in full of 50% deposit paid about $500 AUS.
