Dear Sir/Madam:
I believe I was treated unfairly by security manager Zachariah of Empire City casino in Yonkers, NY.
I have been a loyal, regular patron of Empire City since its opening in 2006.
On Saturday, September 17, 2022 , while at the casino, I was approached by 4 security men who led me to security HQ in the basement. Security manager Zachariah alleged that I punched and damaged slot machine. He declined my request to view video evidence.
I was given two options : pay restitution of $3,320.69 or get transported to central booking in Yonkers for a mugshot and formal charge. Not knowing security protocol, I chose to pay restitution.
ATMs at casino yielded $2,000 and my sons brought the remainder after I called them.
I was given a receipt (photocopy enclosed) and escorted from the premises while been advised of 48 hrs ban.
At home, I had a chance to check the receipt against my schedule and found that receipt stated TIME OF INCIDENT as 8:39 pm on 9/2/2022. I knew I was at home at that time, so, I decided to return to casino when 48 hr ban was up and question security manager Zachariah about it.
Again, he refused to show me video of the incident. This time he said the time on the receipt was THE TIME OF REPORT and not the time of incident (2pm).
Also, I had a chance to look at the said slot machine and found it malfunctioning (photocopy enclosed).
It is possible that I slapped ( not punched ) that machine and I surely regret it now, but it is also possible that machine was defective beforehand.
In any case, as a regular guest of Empire City, I believe I could’ve been warned , reprimanded or banned temporarily. Instead, I was given a “shakedown”.
This caused me a lot of stress, anxiety, aggravation, not to mention a significant setback to my budget.
I’m just a freelance musician.
I wish this situation get reversed, my money refunded. After all, I’m sure all slot machines are insured.

I was treated like a criminal by security and security supervisor June 7 2022 and ejected 9:15 pmfor ever for entering the casino. I only asked the technician for help and she refused because she was watching someone else machine.
I only said that I’m going to take pictures of her because I couldn’t see her name.
I didn’t do anything else.
Security came like crazy more than 6 I’m 75 years old and wasn’t scared for these characters but felt very disrespected.
I wish they eject everyone until they get fired.
This is not the way to treat customers and not the way to do business.
Hopefully the owners will see this.and I was in the camera during that time.
