I applied for a job online thru a job board. The job was posted by Elite Staffing. Didn't think anything of it, just thought it was a small Recruiting Firm. Their website asked me to set-up an interview online thru their applicant tracking system. Didn't think anything of it, some of the big named recruiting firms out there do the same thing. A few days later, I got an email reminder from Elite Staffing confirming my phone interview. Still didn't think anything of it. Until I noticed that I started receiving more emails from other "so-called" recruiting companies like RSC Staffing and HR STAFFINGCAREERS.com, asking me to interview with them, and complete my application online and setup an interview time online as well. It just seemed too good to be true for me. It was difficult listening to my instinct, because I am vulnerable right now, being jobless and all. I'm sure all of you can relate. But I just did a quick search online and found this website. THANK YOU for this website! If it weren't for this website, I'm not sure how much personal info I would've given these jerks, and I would've been in deep trouble.

These companies are scams: Elite Staffing, Career Network, RSC Staffing and HR Staffing Careers.

Good luck on your job search. Let's stay vigilant out there, and keep posting other scams!

Just got a text from Elite Staffing. I will not reply cuz then they will know my number is active. I'll do like I did before with other spam calls/texts get a burner phone for $50 and social engineer my way to a live person I can beat the tar out of. So far I have assaulted two spammers out of about 10 I have tried to social engineer. Not a bad record. If more people took this approach, maybe those scum would think twice before taking up that line of work.

I had 2 interviews with this company, they said if you would like to continue to email them and they would send over the next steps for training. I received the email and they request $195 for training. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Elite Staffing global inc. is not a scam, i worked for them for almost a year. i was working at a factory for another temp and ES came in and took over.so this leads me to believe that you did not do the proper research on this company and a scamer was just using their title. you were just taking the info they gave you as law. here is the correct info: elite staffing global inc. 1400 west hubbard suite 200 chicago illinions 60642 phone # 773.235.3000 fax-773.235.7443

elite staffing network is trying to find people to further their education so they can make money by referrals. They are on several job boards that have actually been warned about them, but have not taken off their postings. They were on www.findjobz.com, but they apparantely took down their postings because they aren't on there anymore.

Stay very far away from them.

Recruiting Business Associates as well as RSC have contacted me (I believe because I'm on CareerBuilder.com). It is a shame that scammers prey on the hardships/desires/hopes of others but this is the real world but that's what such types do! I've been dealing with this type of person/people for decades... just try to get your writings published & they crawl out from every hiding place known to man!
It goes back to the old adage of "If it sounds to good to be true, then..." or "There's no such thing as a free lunch!" These saws didn't become popular & last through the ages because there is no truth to the sayings. We must be our on best council... ignore when pertinent, report when appropriate & educate yourself when possible.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed these comments and opinions (especially the originator of this post/thread). I just about got sucked in by a supposed librarian assistant position, claiming to pay $16.00 to $18.00 an hour. Way too good to be true, that's for sure!

This has all been very interesting to read. Thanks to everyone who posted their interactions with this place. It's just sick to think people would actually take a job like this... I had a similar situation like everyone. They were only interested in if I had education and if I wanted to further my education. I said no at this time it's not in the finances. She was done talking. She then said thank u and hung up. I was told it would be almost a 25 minute conversation... It only lasted 2 mins... Be careful of these places and always be cautious of who you give ur information to.

Thank you everyone for all the information. I applied for a position from a either career builder or monster and a few days later I received a text regarding the position I applied for and I was asked to call an 877 number. I was very suspicious about this. I googled Elite Staffing and found all these comments. Who sends a text message regarding employment?

Just got off the phone with an Elite Staffing "Client Service Rep". When I called in for my scheduled phone interview, I was told the interview would last for approx. 25 minutes and that she was going to go over my application with me to verify what I had put down. It actually only lasted about 5. The only thing she asked, that had to with my application, was if I was eligible to work in this country. She then wanted to go over my educational background. I told her that I had taken several college business courses. She then said, "Oh, you are currently enrolled in school." I told her no. She then said "Oh, then you must be wanting to further your education." I told her no, not at this time. She then said that was all the info she needed. It took her all of 2 minutes to get that. What happened to the 25 minutes she told me it would take to finish the interview? That is when it clicked in my head that this is a possible scam. I remembered that when I was applying, one of the screens was asking for my information, so that I could me contacted to enroll in school (I had clicked the "No Thanks" button...hmmmmmmm... I then asked her for the name of the company that I had applied with. She said that was confidential. I then asked where Elite's offices are located. She told me all over. I asked if they were an employment agency. She said, NO, they are a web company and that they only screen people. I asked if they were trying to enroll people in educational courses. She denied it. I too think this is a scam. Like one of the previous posters said "BAIT and SWITCH" How sad that there are bottom feeders in this economy that have no problem preying on those of us who have been unemployed for an extremely long period of time and desperately want to work! That is one job, I would NEVER take, because it is beyond my moral and ethical standards. How do these people sleep at night. I understand that some people are desperate to earn money, but if more people did what is right then there wouldn't be anyone to support the operations of these scammers! In other words...I need money too, but I will not go out and rob a bank or prostitute myself, in order to get it.

Elite Staffing Network placed a recent ad on Job.com for OFFICE ASSISTANT in Las Vegas (dd 2/15/2011). I got curious who they were since they are stating salary $14.50-$17.50/hr and I knew they were not real. You can tell immediately a scammer when the pay is unrealistic, plus there's something typical about the way they describe the job...I can identify them quickly by now, I've read too many of these already... So I ended up on this page and I see they are still people who 'believe' they Elite Staffing and others are real ! I believe even real employers are 'pretending' to offer jobs, so there will be a genuine disappointment all thru 2011, thinking that there are real jobs out there. If you are realistic you will know that good jobs are never posted.

This has been very useful. Any request for interview I receive that is insurance, financial, and now staffing that I know will be mostly commission I now check sites such as this first to see what others are saying. It certainly saves time and aggravation. Thanks!

My only experience is with RSC Staffing. They give you an email address to submit a question or questions, but then send back an email with no answers but request that you schedule an interview via a web based interview platform. In the email the sender states: "If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I look forward to seeing you there and working with you in the future." However, by email they will not respond. Two names that come up in my experience is Samantha Reese based in FL and Paul Rosen with RSC Staffing, Chatsworth, CA. Also, an email address listed Premier HR Staffing. They charge you a fee of $297 + $20 Priority Processing and you are an independent contractor. There is no job or position to be filled.

RSC is a scam. Don't go anywhere near it they just want your personal information, ss number, credit info. etc. I heard they "hire you" charge you money to join/work for them and then the leads they set you up with are total bs (i .e they don't exist). Don't trust these type of sites...always VERIFY. I am out of work right now and I can relate to being vulnerable when you are desperately seeking a job, but hooking up with a company like this will only bring you down further.

Tinacolada... Maybe, maybe not! Glad to hear something positive, just hope they're not changing their tactics. I am not a cynical person at all, but I believe in being cautious. I've been burned on scam software sites as well as scam job sites. Good luck to you, hope your BF gets the job.

Oh, by the way... to everyone else who hits this site... the list in my first thread is for everyone to act cautious on, I am passing info on from other scamees about their experiences, I only have experience with Jobfox & Harris and they were both bad... no slander, just caution!

I will repost again hopefully with good news. My boyfriend applied for a job from Elite Staffing, and there was no phone interview just a number in our local area to fax a resume to. He waited about a week, and got a call for a face to face interview this Monday, in the town where the j0b is offered. Im just saying, maybe its not a scam :)

Be cautious of Elite Staffing ...

My wife just got off the phone with an Elite Staffing interviewer. This guy kept on asking her questions about her educational background and every time the conversation went elsewhere, such as, what kind of positions were available, this guy kept on guiding the conversation back to my wife's education and did she want to pursue getting more education. My wife being very astute, picked up on it immediately. She asked the interviewer, "where is your office located'? The guy hemmed and hawed for about 20 seconds before he rattled off some town in southern Florida; then the guy knew his gig was exposed and he couldn't get my wife off the phone fast enough... and after he said the interview would take about 45 minutes... go figure... he must have used an abbreviated version just for her.

In our opinion, this absolutely smelled of phish! The old BAIT and switch phishing scam.

Here's more sites for everyone to check into and/or be careful of:
Harris Solutions Group
Johnson & Armel
Jobfox.com
Job Fusion
Resumebook360.com
Optima Consulting Group

Good Luck Everyone... we won't be unemployed forever!

This company is a scam, i just called a number that the BBB had for them and it was just a regualar land line. Also they are asking for a credit report from me. With the positions they have open has nothing to do with my credit report!
