I applied for a job with Elegant Companions, this company is specializing on non sexual escort services. It looked like a good opportunity for me because I communicate with people easily. They’ve asked for a registration fee to be paid but once they’ve got my money I’ve never heard from them again.

A lady Victoria continuously called and emailed me giving me information setting up dates and making sure I paid the 279 pound fee. On the date of my 1st meeting I got a last minute call saying the client cancelled. that was a month and a half ago. Ive yet to hear back from them have a date or been able to reach anyone at the company. SCAM!

The same thing has happened to me. The manager said his name is David Scott but through a bit of detective work I found that his name is in fact david Scott mcleish.

They have robbed me, I can't believe how people could be so cruel.

A lady called Danielle danielle@datesforhire.net was dealing with me but now shes been sacked, I read this same exccuse on someone else's blog. It's all just a massive con.

Dont fall for it! They say that scambook is a scam in itself but this is not true!

Save your money dont fall into their trap!

Thanks so much for this post!

I was about to sign up with Datesforhire as well. They started to get aggressive with us once we started asking questions about the "advertising" fee that needs to be paid. They told us they had a client waiting for my partner and I to go on a duo date and that we just needed to register with them before they can confirm our bookings. We asked for a terms and conditions they said they did not have this in writing. We asked for a contract they said they could not provide this with to us! but that we needed to hurry up and pay because they were only registering people until Wednesday and it was Illegal for them to put us on the books without fee. But yet somehow they could not offer us a contract nor a guarantee legal approach.

The lady we spoke to was called Annebell but through research found out her real name was Ann Marie Robinson who works with david Scott mcleish! this website is a scam! thank you so much for this post!

I had been search the www for issues with a company called Dates for Hire, it was a bit of a struggle but I got there, thank you to a bit of detective work and this site. I had a call a couple of weeks ago from a lady called Claire Knight, she made the job seem to good to be true, you get dresses bought for you, you get paid to go to events a driver to pick you up and drop you off etc. Then she mentioned a £280 advertising fee, this started to ring alarm bells. She called several times to convince me that the company was legit, I was about to pay the money but wanted to do a bit more searching, after she sent me the companies bank details. I had to pay a company called Mckendrick & Cohen who are supposedly banking in Ireland, their beneficiary are The Black Church, in Dublin. When I read the comment on here about a couple called Ann Marie and David Scott who supposedly live in Spain, it all fell into place. They have several web pages for escorting and they give themselves different names to make you think they are working for the company. They are very convincing con artists.
People want to do this kind of work because they are short of cash and to them we are easy targets. I hope they get caught and go to jail for fraud.
Thank you to all the people who posted things on here, if it wasnt for you I would be in so much more debt right now.

Hi, I recently signed up with elegant companions and was too very suspicious my adviser was called Sarah her email is sarah@datesforhire.net, she reassured me time and time again that the company was legit after finding no evidence I went ahead. Firstly she told me the fee was 295pounds and then it went to 150pounds because they did not include the car service anymore and I would make my own way to dates. after i paid this amount i found scambook reviews and rang my bank immediately to cancel the payment, ever since ive been flooded with emails asking me to ring my bank and authenticate the payment to McKendrick and Cohen which i did not do. i left me bank to deal with it and still have not recieved my money back, i then emailed sarah telling her to take my profile off the website (not sure if it was even on there, i didnt check the website cuz i was embarrassed to see any of my pics on there) and for a full refund, i herd nothing for about a week. a week later i had a message on my fone asking for my bank details for them to process the refund, i emailed them my iban and bic number and bank address and i am now waiting, not sure if i should have given them my bank details but my bank are aware of the situation... we will see if they actually give me my refund. I joined dates for hire after a girl called LEAH contacting me and signed me up and created a profile - which I thought was free. She then called me saying one of her girls had cancelled and asked if I could fill in for her in 3 days time - I just had to make a payment of £279 for registration and I would get it back after the date as he would be paying me £425, was a 39 year old guy with his own internet business and loaded and a a very nice spiritual guy who was very interested in meeting me. They never called me with details of the date - I had to call them! To which all of a sudden the dates had been cancelled and I was given 2 different stories as to why! They said he was rescheduling for the following week but I have since heard nothing from them! They have ignored all my emails and when I call they say they will get my agent to call me back - and then they dont! So I have gone to back reported fraud, reported them to action fraud and also my bank even rang them posing as a new customer - asking questions about where the company is based and trying to get more information but David was rude and defensive and put the phone down on her! Really hope the back can get my money back! If anyone has any similar stories... please contact me kpmason1980@hotmail.com - I will post if I get my money back from the bank!

Oh dear god I have I think just been subjected to the same scam a woman called me from a night 2 remember by the name of Georgie Rogers she said she had sent her children to private school of the back of this non sexual escorting agency and that it can prove to be a good earner. She asked me a lot of details about my hobbies and said that all the details went into a computer which then generated a score and if I scored about 76% then I was perfect and could join I came out with 89% and she said brilliant well the registration fee is £370 to get your profile up and running I advised that I couldn't pay straight away and it was left that she would contact me at the end of the month. Then the following day I received 5 missed calls and 3 voicemails saying that this was strange and didn't usually happen but she'd circulated my picture round the offices and a gentleman (Norwegian) who was going back Friday wanted to take me out Thursday night he was 48 years old and a finance manager for a shipping company. She said could u raise the registration fee I said I don't think so she then said could I do just 6 months at £18" I said I could only pay £130 she said that's fine. Then called in the evening to tell me that the date was Thursday 8:30 a taxi will pick me up and then she have me the gentleman a name but couldn't tell me what restaurant we were going to (this sounded strange) but non the less I agreed. Now it's the day before I haven't heard anything but have begun to research this company and I'm growing concerned will they cancel tomorrow? Has anyone actually had any successful dates? if anyone has tried to get money back how have you done if and have you reported if to the police as a scam. I'm now growing increasingly worried .

I am currently dealing with Leah@anight2remember.net as well. Just like you have mention above, a £295 fee is required but this time to some bank in Portugal. It seemed very strange that she asked me if I was available for work in 2 weeks and when I said yes she then found a job for me this Saturday. She had called from [protected].

Thankfully I searched the net for them first, if anyone has a plan how we can catch these people I'm all in for helping out as they expect me to make a payment today or tomorrow. I will continue to monitor this to see if anyone wants to do something.

hi,

yes i have the same story to share i aplied last week and yesterday the lady called me and said she wants me on board on her www.anight2remember.net website. After she sent me some questioner to fill + my 4 photos to include. In questioner i left note for her as well that i will be on holisays from 7-25 september. Today she called me and said on Saturday i have got a date ( why on Saturday- because i am leaving on Sunday !) and we need to work quickly because after i come back i have got already 2 other gentlemans waiting and then... of course she started to talk about fee 280.00 pounds for my advertising, she also mentioned David Scott, ... and about bank which was in Portugal as well. She wanted a money imidiately but i said he probably tomorrow i can send some money but i dont have it all. She said ok . Off course i started to look for this company because i dont believe such scammers. First off all her voice sounds like long term alcoholic, secondly she is saying about bank in portugal when business is in england and its flourishing. If her business is so flourishing why she is paying then people cash hand and not showing it in tax return? And why is she mentioning about fee on the end - she should inform me about it at first or it should be written on website. And off course she picked up my date to be this satuday to cash my money and knowing i am away on sunday- so i wont call her. Lastly i have checked this website properly - and look at all this photos of escorts she uploaded- there is literaly few of them and quality of photos is poor as well. Thanks guys i have seen your posts now i am 110% sure is a big scam ! the ladies name who contacted me is Claire Bradley, her telephone [protected], i will be wieving this forum quys if you need some more info from me

I spoke to a woman called Kitty at anight2remember.net, she was dutch, sounds old and sounds as if she smoked 40 a day. She says she now has a booking for me for monday night, said the taxi will pick me up at 730, but she couldnt tell me the resturant the meal was going to be at, or where it was, and also that i needed to pay the 200 pound fee before i could login and see who the booking was with. I said i didnt want to pay 200 quid and never hear from anyone again, so she said she would try and send me more information and the bank details for the money and i could get back to here. Now i decide to look into the company and ive all your comments so pretty safe to say i wont be paying the 200 quid! What a bunch of ###s! really hoped it was legit tbh.

I got robbed as well of £270 by the company anight2remember, They ask you to pay to Mckendric & Cohen in Ireland or Kingsland in Portugal to the bank of Spiritu Santo, this bank is almost bankrupt . I told the old alcoholic woman that I had a child and I was in a terrible situation at the moment, she seemed so sympathetic and caring..She reassured me that I was going to make vast amounts of money, not to worry. She told me that her name was collete@anight2remember.net. She goes by the name of Collete Manson. I think that they keep changing their names. I called the company so many times and David, he kept promising bookings for me that never realized, as well as a guy called Oliver telling me that the day after I'ad a booking which again was a pack of lies. I spoken to two girls working in the agency which they were very friendly and their promised me that it was a genuine company. They are a bunch of con artist and lying ###. Their account is :PT [protected] 4022 3 BESCPTPL. Phone number of the company: [protected]. Police fraud should be inform as well as the guys from transferWise not to work with them. BE AWARE THEY JUST WANT TO ROB PEOPLE, and they do not have any costumers. The only costumers are gullible people like myself, believed them and handing them over my cash.

ladies and gents, i was scammed nearly a year ago now and im still trying to get my money back from that b***ard David Scott Mcleish, Karma will get him, Everyone NEEDS to report him to action fraud, i have just opened a case with them and if everyone else does too then maybe we can all get our money back or more importantly stop any other innocent people getting scammed ... go to www.actionfraud.police.uk to report it, enough people are being scammed for them to have to do something about it, so SPEAK OUT! David is probably enjoying cocktails by the pool whilst we all struggle to survive after the large lump of money that has been robbed from each one of us. if anyone wants to speak to me about it or share their thoughts email me on nicolahebson@hotmail.co.uk

Dusktilldawnescorts.net was set up on the 5th September 2014, i think this is the new site that will take over from Elegant companions by the same dodgy crooks. I originally applied to Elegant but was also contacted by Dusktilldawn, , after being very gullible for a couple days and believing every word they said i very nearly sent them the money, lookily for me I decided to look into it more, and found a few articles about the scam..
Im so sorry to hear so many people have parted with their money these crooks need to be stopped.

Yes it's all a con and any one asking for a fee upfront don't do it. Your going for a job be it a self employed job you should at least meet with them at their office first or go for an interview so it's a scam. Don't pay any money you would have so much more satisfaction giving that money to charity to someone who needs it and not to some scammed who is out to rob people.

I also applied to dusktilldawn.net, but fortunately I found this page before I gave them any money (thank you to everyone who posted on here!)

PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN SCAMMED - If you haven't already, I urge you to make an official complaint here: http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
I can only report other victims with their permission and personal details, and as no money changed hands during their attempt on me the case will probably carry less weight.

What they're doing is absolutely despicable. They're exploiting young people who are most likely only considering working with them because they're hard up for money. The complaint only takes 20 minutes, let's stop anybody else being tricked by these heartless criminals and make sure they get what they deserve... and hopefully try to recover any of the money they've already taken.

Unfortunately I have fallen for the same trick. I signed up and paid for Dusk Till Dawn, was put under immense pressure as "three clients were very interested but will only be in London for a short time" and as with many of you I have heard very little from the company since after chasing them up for two months I have asked for my money back and I am currently waiting to receive it. I will update you if I do.

I have been contacted by 'Kristy' at dusktilldawn. Apparently someone really wants a date with me next week (she said this when I said I'm unavailable at the weekend! Typical). I have not paid the money as I knew it wasn't right when she said people have shown interest in my photos...but I haven't given them any photos!

My heart goes out to those who have been scammed by these rotten people. I will report it to Action Fraud, I really hope you all get your money back and I will give Kristy a piece of my mind on behalf of everyone! Xx

I stupidly paid £295 plus £25 bank transfer fee, I had already sent my photos and was told I was going to be promoted as escort of the month if I paid this money. Was told that I had a date lined up for Saturday night but lo and behold as avid rang me on Saturday to say that he was stuck in Leeds and couldn't make it that night, that's when I decided to investigate. I've e mailed Kristy for a refund but I bet I don't get one.

I was also conned by this company. The recruitment/booking fee cost me £180 and I was guarenteed to get a date within 2 weeks to make my money back. I called their number and spoke to David numerous times and each time he told me to be patient, this went on for a few months before I realised what a scam it was. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY OR FOOL FOR THEIR TRICKS!

Here is the website in Australia - http://www.plusonecompanions.com

I wonder if it is the same people? Are they scammers too?

I spoke to them today - Wednesday 25th March 2015 and they told me that you can buy packages starting from $219 Australian to advertise with them.

Bronze - $219
Silver - $299
Gold - $399
Platinum - $495

Does anyone know?

The phone number that they called me from is [protected] -- This is a Brisbane, Australia phone number.

Thanks.

Hi all, im so glad my sister found this page, was also to that my photo had been circulated and i had good reviews, but i would need to pay 215.00 for 6 months or 350.00 for a year, all very polite people, but they always called from a withheld number and it was always crackly, .I was told that i had someone who wants to meet me on Saturday, so i had to transfer it quickly, and send her a photo of what i had done, Every time i phoned them a elderly man would say hello, in a gruff way, not even professional and they were never at their desks always they would hone me back, i spoke to a few ladies there all seemed very nice, They also wanted me to send the money to Portugal, i did, , but luckily, it was all the money i had in the bank and transferred it straight into my mums account, so they cant get it, now will call the bank tomorrow, They had many different emails, i was manly speaking to Lola her email was lola@escortcompanions.net, then the other alldifferent eg info@elegant-companions.com and one was from a peter james.,
I recieved an email saying thank you and would let me know when it had cleared, well tuff it wont luv as you wont get it

Hi, i have reported them to the fraud squad and they want to hear from anybody that has been scammed to build u a case, , all my info has been passed onto the police. They never asked for id, which all companies do, they have finally stopped calling me, but in each voice mail it was slightly more agitated and each email too.The fraud squad man recognized the bank name overseas.
Still unavailable numbers when you call them back except for the office number, yer right, its not an office, im sure its a home number, dont do it, if it sounds too good to be true it is, ask urself why havnt they asked for id, why is the phone crackly most of the time, why cant i call them back on a mobile number which they call from as not recognized,

These companies are run by the same couple. There are no bookings, no clients on their books.there weapon is to sound too good to be true ie in a few months you will be filthy rich so to pay 295 is only a small investment.

Has anyone come across Laura with what sounded as either an Irish/amercian accent. She wanted £340 for the advertising and I paid it upfront via Azimo, into an account in Portugal. The company was for kingstone business solutions, after looking on line and coming across all the above comments I rung and notified my credit card company that I had paid and believed it was a fraudulent transaction for services I'm not going to receive. They will investigate and I will be refunded.

On checking the emails they have elegant-companions.com, /elegant escorts.net and go by several names.

Follow your instinct!
