This company is a joke. They never pick up the phone and when they finally do, they say they don't have enough people working. But they still charge you for insurance you didn't even ask for, even though you already have your own insurance. You send in proof, but they take forever to respond to emails. It's like they only care about taking your money.

Their customer service is like the worst ever. I called and then canceled a policy in writing, then still got a bill a couple weeks later. Called them AGAIN, they canceled it AGAIN, then I got another bill. It was my second policy with them, I thought it was a misunderstanding when I had the same problems with my first policy, but it seems like it's a rule.

I been givin' my insurance info to Effective Coverage since 2019. For 2020, I tried doin' it online and givin' it to my apartment complex, but it didn't work. They still charged me $15 a month for "not havin' insurance" even though I DO have insurance. They only gave me credit for 3 months, which is straight up stealin'. It's a shame that a big company gotta take $250 from me like that.

This company is the worst! Their customer service is terrible. I've been dealing with them for months because my apartment complex requires their insurance. Every month, I have to call them to upload my insurance and stop charging me. They always blame my insurance company, but my insurance company can't do anything about it. This company is useless and should be closed down. Don't give them any business!

This insur co been chargin me every month for insur i already got from anotha co. I sent proof in june n it was all good. But after i renewed my lease they started chargin me every month even tho my policy was the same n auto renewed. I sent proof 8 times n my insur co sent docs too but they still chargin me. It's been 15 months n they took $14.95 every month. I want my money back.

This company got hired by my landlord to handle renter's insurance. I already had a policy, but they kept changing the rules and rejecting my policy. They tried to charge me extra fees, but I called and got it sorted out. Then, when my lease renewed, they started charging me fees again. When I called, they made excuses and said my policy wasn't good enough. They kept charging me for their policy, even though I already had coverage. It's not fair and it feels like a scam.

Effective Coverage is a company that provides insurance for apartments. I tried to get insurance from Lemonade, but they said no. So, Effective Coverage started taking money from my apartment account without telling me that my policy was rejected. I saw the extra charges and asked the leasing office about it. I also asked Effective Coverage on 10/28, but they didn't answer me. The next month, they charged me again. I had to ask them again to find out that I needed to add *** to my policy. They never told me that before. Their customer service is really bad and it's almost like they're trying to cheat me.

I been gettin' charged by my landlord and Effective Coverage for renters insurance since 2019. I gave 'em all the papers they needed to show I got insurance with ***. I tried tellin' Effective Coverage to stop billin' me 3 times by emailin' 'em proof of my insurance, but they still keep takin' my money. Today, the company finally said my *** insurance was good enough and they wouldn't bill me no more. But Effective Coverage won't give me back the money they took from me for 13 months. That ain't right 'cause I did what I was supposed to do at the start of my lease and now I been payin' for 2 policies.

I ain't heard nothin' from Effective Coverage 'bout my renters insurance for my apartment complex. I done sent my proof on their website and email like they said on July 6, but they ain't said if it's approved or not. I done sent emails like they said for weeks and ain't got no response. I finally called on August 7 and they said my submission didn't meet requirements. I done sent updated proof meetin' their criteria within 24 hours, but ain't heard nothin' since. I done emailed 4 times from August 7 to August 12 and still ain't got no approval. They done charged me $30 for not havin' proof of coverage 'cause they ain't communicate or act professional.

Effective Coverage charged me a penalty for not having renter's insurance, even though I did have it. My insurance company was slow to update my policy documents, which caused the delay. I moved to a new apartment in the same complex on June 6th, and it took my insurance company two reminders and three weeks to change the address. When I called them on June 28th, they only changed the summary page, not the actual policy documents. I sent all the updated documents to Effective Coverage on July 20th, but they still charged me a penalty for July. They didn't care that I had an active policy or that my insurance company was slow to update the documents.

Me and my hubby moved to a rental place and they said we gotta have renters insurance or pay $14.95/mo. So we got it and sent the papers to Effective Coverage like they said. But then we got charged anyway! I asked the rental company and they said the papers were missing a word so they denied it. But nobody told us! They said Effective Coverage is a 3rd party and they don't contact nobody. So I called our insurance company and they said the rental company is already listed and they don't know why they're making it so hard. We updated the papers and sent them again but still got charged. This is ridiculous and I might have to get a lawyer.
