http://www.ebooks.com/information/privacy.asp it's Australia but same telephone number!
this means ebooks.com is really making lots of dirty money by scamming people long time before!
I will continue posting as long as I could! I will post on every blogs and forums that ebooks.com is a SCAM! I will
They never even made the book available in my library after paying $25.00 then all attempts to get hold of them went to machines or auto-mailers. 'F' ebooks.com, DO NOT USE
I accidentally ordered the same book twice and they did refund half of my money. However, they never addressed the original problem of a blank line running down every other page, so I cannot read the book I did pay for anyway. Sent another complaint, I will see if they respond and post the results.
I do not recommend that college students purchase textbooks from eBooks.com. The note-taking ability and retrieval are insufficient. The advertisement states that you can print, but it does not state that it is limited to 10 pages from the book. Copying is also limited to 10 items from the book, so if you have to quote from the book be prepared to type manually type the quote. The pdf file is only accessible through Adobe Digital Edition. When I contacted customer service about the issues with printed I was advised to download the book on several different devices to be allowed to print more pages, which is absurd, I would have to download the book to four different devices to be able to print one chapter. I am extremely upset, the semester just started and I am falling behind in my progress through the textbook that I purchased from eBooks.com
I find these guys very helpful. Great range of ebooks and good prices. I checked the wayback machine and they've been in business since 2000. There's no way this is a scam.
eBooks.com was recommended by ethicalconsumer.org as the most ethical e-bookseller. I've bought 5 ebooks from them. No problem. Had a problem with a book I'd ordered (I ordered the wrong book!) and they refunded me straight off. 5 stars.
I've shopped with eBooks.com for years. They're totally reliable. Ebooks are easy to download and easy to read. Highly recommend.
Be aware this site is a ripoff and a total scam. I purchased a textbook only to receive an image source instead of plain text. This limits my ability to copy or search words or phrases. Basically the whole textbook is a snapshot. They have not replied to my emails nor the phone calls, but I will for sure file a complaint.
Thank you for your thoughtful review, Han F.
eBooks.com is not a scam.
eBooks.com sells ebooks to its customers in three formats: PDF, EPUB and Online Reader. The first two formats are rendered in text. The third format (online reader) is rendered in an image-of-the-page format, and is good for people who don't want to download the entire ebook, but prefer to stream is. You can choose to access ebooks in any or all of these formats.
To be clear, eBooks.com is not a scam. The company sells ebooks in the same formats as most other commercial e-bookstores.
If you need a format that we don't offer, please just contact our support team and they will be glad to process a full refund.

Hello Babette,
The issue you had was with another company entirely, not eBooks.com. There is no account on our system in the name of Babette Trevino. And I any case this is not what we do. We're a well-regarded ebook retailer that sells ebooks to customers all around the world.
I suggest you check your credit card statement and contact the actual company that billed you and request a refund. If no result then contact your card issuer and tell them what happened - they'll process a full refund for you.
Best wishes,
Anna

Selling ebooks since 2000
In assessing the legitimacy of an e-commerce business, it’s important to check if the vendor has been in business long. Scam websites are popping up and disappearing all the time – and taking users’ credit card details and personal data with them. A site that has only been active for a few months should be approached with caution.
In partnership with the world’s foremost book publishers, eBooks.com has been providing ebooks to individuals and institutions since 2000. The Internet Archive’s “Wayback Machine” enables you to view independently-archived copies of eBooks.com’s website from as far back as July 2000. This is a fascinating resource, showing sample pages from our website over two decades.
