Renee is the main cattery owner, but that does not stop her from stuffing dozens of poor cats with family members to increase her profits. Talking to his lady, you will want to just run from her babbling and not actually knowing anything about cats.
When I found this site and I spoke to her, she told me the prices. I assumed this came with a vet check? Or kitten vaccines? Tica papers!? NOPE! You will pay a premium price and get nothing because (I'm guessing) she's very lazy and cheap. She also sells kittens to young! Again, probably because she's lazy and cheap. She is nothing but a backyard breeder kitten mill.
She will try and fool you saying she has show titles. This is smokes and Mirrors. She's been to a handful of cat shows where her cat was the only cat. She did not win anything at all. On her website, she doesn't even know what color cats she has! The kitten I was looking at she said was cream, maybe with some spots! So not professional at all! She is just a crook!
I was also horrified to find out her new blue eye kittens she's trying to scam and sell as exclusive are nothing more than mutts! They are bred from street cats! Yes, you read that right! I found on another review for cuddly Scottish folds, the father cat is a pure mutt and the father of Renee cats! Always check pedigrees and never trust this crook. She will try to talk you to death and over you. But hopefully you will see this review.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Hello, please note this person/people (who all responded the same day hmmmm) never bought a kitten from us. How do they know any of this? Our titles and certificates from showing are on our website eastcoastcat.com. Please also know that this complaint board management marked this as resolved as they agreed with me it was a fraudulent report. I want to thank them from the bottom my heart for helping protect us against lies.
This just proves what a scam you are. These awards are giving to everyone who goes to a show once. You are the only person showing the breed in your region so there is no one else to give a paper to. You still are selling mutts!
Please see attached proving I have multiple SHOW ranked cats who are Regional Winners, and Internationally ranked so high they are ALL BREED ranked. Not just Scottish. My ribbons from multiple shows with the #1 cat registry in the world. All verifiable at the showing website for TICA.org. I don't know why I am being attacked, but hope this clarified what is happening here. Eastcoastcat Esual, Jade and Spice winning records & ribbons attached for the #1, #2 and #11 world rankings.

or as I am told by others, breeders of good character are attacked on this website often. There is judgement for you someday, somewhere, for the lies, I have to believe that to even begin to understand somebody doing this. Shame on you, as my grandmother would say.

This is Renee, who the postings are directed at. Attached are some of my show records to include my Regional Winners certificates. As you can see from the placements, my cat finaled often and there were MANY other cats there, not just my 1 as the poster lied about: TICA has the cat counts on their website, there were lots of kitties there. 80+ (35 in my class!) here is the website for one of our shows that we went to: http://ticamembers.org/showrep/2020/191019d.htm
I have proven they are fraudulent claims above...I can go on and disapprove most everything else said here, but this seemed the most concrete to anyone who has even read this far. I have NO RECORD of a sale, visit, or correspondence with any of the above posters at all. All my kittens have contracts which require a 72 hour vet visit, and are immunized, healthy. I also am 100% TICA registered for ALL my cats, which if anyone wants to verify is pretty easy. All kittens are picked up in person at my home, but the above posters do not seem to have ever been here.
It is sad this can happen. A poster can just try to destroy someone. It is simply not true. I encourage anyone who wishes to pursue the truth with me to contact me.

I do everything right. I show (please post your show records). I genetic health test (please post your tests, mine are on my website). I register ALL my cats. I have contracts, which is ALWAYS on my website (where is your website?). My website shows my cats healthy and living in our HOMES. Can you share why you lie and are not even a buyer of our cats? A good and confident breeder ENCOURAGES fellow breeders. Forms a network and supports each other. Why would you do this? My daughter read your comment to me last week. She read it, looked at me, and asked my why someone would lie like that. My answer? "I don't know. And I hope we NEVER know/understand it, as we do not want to be like that." We will continue to to the right thing and march on.
CATLOVEROFALL, what is your real name? You really hate me, have a lot of complaints (incorrect) about my breeding program, yet bought from me? I would like to find you in my records and check in on you, I have never heard a peep such as what you describe above. You posted the same day as the original post, so you might be the same person? I am offering right now TO BUY THE KITTEN BACK - FULL PRICE. I do not wish ANY of my babies to be with you. You lied and made many incorrect damaging assumptions above. Lets part ways and give me back my baby.

It just occurred to me after reading the other complaints that my cat may not even be pure breed after all! I still think she overbreeds since none are registered, but now I also see she has cats that are breed with domestics and trying to pass off as 100% Scottish. Couple that with the premium price for as little work as she can possibly do to ensure a healthy kitten, and I double down on my advice to steer clear of East Coast Cats and Renee Sargent!
I too was taken by Renee. I thought for the price she charges, a vet record of well check and at least one vaccine given by vet would be included, plus TICA registration with proof of neuter. She does, afterall, advertise her cats as registered. Why are the kittens not? It is not expensive to register a litter from my understanding from other breeders o spoke with, and the mark of a breeder who is hiding something, at the very least overbreeding her cats and not registering because she can't do to breeding to closely. Tica has standards as to how soon a queen can be breed again, so I assume she's breeding these queens back to back to back and is able to do so because she doesn't register the cats. This is complete back yard breeder behavior. Reputable breeders want their litters registered and on record, and wouldn't dare let a 10 week old kitten go without any vetting. Look elsewhere for your kitten to a breeder who does things the proper way. My kitten came home with parasites, and maybe if he'd been examined by a vet that would have been caught. Instead, I was left with a vet bill, no paperwork or breeder support from a kitten I could have got off Hoobly for half the price for what she offers. Buyer beware.
