DraftKings review: Harrassed by Jacob Clifton at DK Scottsdale

I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred today, 02/23/2026, at the location in Scottsdale, Arizona involving an employee named Jacob Clifton.

During my visit, Mr. Clifton spoke to me in a manner that I found disrespectful and inappropriate. I felt verbally harassed by his behavior, and there was no justification for the way he addressed me. His conduct was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. I am concerned that his treatment of me may have been influenced by the fact that I am a female. Historically, I have had limited interactions with Jacob, other than one occurrence, which was not a good interaction. I was placing a bet at a kiosk and he approached me and demanded that I go to the counter. I was given no explanation of why.

Additionally, it appeared that the bet limit was changed by Mr. Clifton in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner. The adjustment did not seem to be based on any clear policy or risk explanation and felt targeted. Jacob said that I was "lucky" that he even allowed the $100 bet, and that it might be the last wager I ever place. This raises serious concerns about fairness and consistency in how customers are treated.

I have an audio recording of my visit in its entirety, from the ID check, to the ticket cashing, and placing the bet, and can provide that upon request.

I would like DraftKings to speak with customers and onsite employees regarding their experiences with Jacob Clifton to determine whether this behavior is part of a larger pattern. I also request clarification of the official policy regarding retail bet limits and how they may be adjusted, as well as assurance that employees are properly educated and trained to apply those policies consistently and professionally, as I have seen inconsistencies among ticket writers. Additionally, I believe I am owed a direct apology for the way I was treated.
