Double Tree Hilton, Shah Alam review: Bad service

I and my wife checked into this hotel in Shah Alam, Malaysia on the 10th August because their grand opening was on the 11th August and the Sultan was invited to officially open the hotel for business. we were very excited but unknown to us the general manager,Mr. Gagan Talwar hid certain facts from us. we had already paid a visit to this hotel earlier and were impressed by their infinity pool. on the 10th August our upset started. the air-con was too cold 19°C.the technician came but the issue was not fixed. (optimum temperature for sleeping is 24°C.we didn't make a big issue because tomorrow was the Sultan's visit and we gave the hotel grace to fix the issue after the Sultan had left. but alas the air-con problem wasn't rectified on the 11th August even though 4 technicians have to be called in. Still the temperature remained at 19°C.I humorously remarked to my wife this is an ice-hotel. and just as we were getting to sleep at 1am the siren rang for evacuation of the hotel. I checked around for a fire but there was no fire. I decided to ignore the call. my wife rang for an explanation but the operator was unable to answer us. Next morning 2 bleery eyes and freezing guests that is us searched for the general manager for an explanation. seems he was nowhere to be found. and when we found him 12 hours later he gave us a long technical explanation about the hotel's alarm. He never apologised at all and our air-con issue was never resolved. We were disgusted with the general manager, Mr. Gagan and we decided to bring up this issue on complaint board to warn would-be guests. and my wife, Cassandra happens to be a Hilton honored guest!
