It had been over a year since I paid Donna Sacra a $350 deposit for a Balinese Kitten adoption. Within that time - she has given me several stories. She has no internet or she needs a goat because several of her litters have died. This last excuse is why I am filing this complaint. She texted me and told me a witch put a curse in her litters. But thankfully she just got. Catholic Priest to break the curse.

I have asked her for my deposit back and she told me that my deposit is a "donation".

This woman needs to be investigated!

Desired outcome: I want my $350 returned/refunded

Just today, Donna texted me pictures of new kittens. This is after she told me that a witch cursed her litters! She then told me that a priest came and 'luckily' uncursed them. This is not normal behavior! Not only does this woman need to be shut down, but she needs mental care. She refuses to return my money, saying it was a donation - when after checking out her "charity" it turns out she applied for 501-C-3 but did not receive it.

Donna is a little nuts, for sure but her kittens are gorgeous In 2016 ! I put a deposit down but wanted a very specific coloring and was willing to wait until one was born. Well she tried to get me to take every cat but I refused until the right coloring. Finally the right one came along. Sadly he’d get bladder infections (stones?). He also was very dominant and would attack everyone’s feet and bite. I know 3 other people who have Balinese from Donna. All healthy cats but not the most friendly. Could be the way they’re breeding or the way they were raised. Who knows. I’m considering another one.

I adopted a kitten from Donna about two and a half years ago. I was on her waiting list for about 10 months before I picked the kitten up. He was clean and appeared healthy. When we got him fixed, the vet discovered he had an undescended testicle, but he has otherwise been fine. He is bright, playful, vocal, and affectionate, and he follows me everywhere I go in the house. As you can see from his photo, he looks like the poster child for Balinese cats. I don’t know what to make of the complaints posted here, but my experience was exactly what I expected after talking to Donna. No drama. I am actually getting back on the waiting list to get another kitten.

I, too am beginning to get a bit suspicious. We put down a deposit for a kitten almost a year ago. We then put down a deposit for a second kitten a few weeks later (trying to wait on the second $350 until after payday).
I have called Donna multiple times over the past year asking for updates and each time I talk to her she has had some tragedy befall one of the litters. I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt - but having two back to back losses does raise a few red flags.
When I called her a couple of months ago she didn’t even have it in her records that we had put down a second deposit for another kitten. Luckily I kept my confirmation emails and I was able to give her the exact date that everything was written. That also concerned me.
I am a very trusting person who always tries to give people a chance, but I’m starting to reach the end of my rope and I’m going to be pretty angry if I got swindled out of $700

This is so distressing. I have also put down a deposit for two kittens over 6 months ago. I have reached out to Donna several times-- by email, text, and phone, over the past few months, and Donna has not responded to any of my attempts to reach her. At least if she responded, I would know she was reachable. Now I am very concerned.

Back in summer 2016, I put a deposit down for a kitten but when we went to look at the kittens she tried to sell me a puppy, that was the last of the litter, because the kitten would need a friend. I told her over and over my husband was barely allowing us to get one pet, let alone two, and that we would only be getting the kitten. Then she told me if no one would take the puppy soon that she would kill it. I immediately drove back, over a 2 hour drive, to get this puppy. I told her my kitten deposit would go towards the puppy, since I would no longer be getting a kitten. She argued with me on that saying it was for the kitten and that I still would pay full price for this puppy. Thankfully I won that argument and I'm so glad I saved that puppy because she is literally the best dog we've ever had! The strangest experience though!
