We bought two full breed Maine Coons from this breeder on 8/9/2018 At there first vet visit was diagnosed with a lot of issues Kylo has: Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia, Asthma, Feline stomatitis (they want to remove his teeth) Cutaneous horns on his feet ( they want to remove the padding on the front paws) Chronic bowel disorder. His sister Reya has SIBO and a infused spine. Most these conditions could have been detected by the breeder simply testing her cat's before breeding them. We spent $3000.00 for the boy $2500.00 for the girl, and over $15.000 in medical bill's. There condtions require long term treatment and medications. Well again I'm happy you got healthy kittens, mine has Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia, SIBO, Heart Murmur and more 30k in debt with medical bills receipts and documentation to back everything up. Obviously you lucked out and we didn't! My babies go the veterinary once a month on daily medications been in the ICU at 7 days a time at 2500.00 a night. So again I'm happy for you but I'm not the only one 3 others have reached out to me in regards to this!

Update November 20, 2022. Reya's heart has gotten worse. She has 6 months maximum and can pass any moment, from Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia and HCM due to bad breeding.

I got my boy Vito from Raisa a little over 4 years ago to the day. Today, he passed unexpectedly for some unknown reason. The vet believes he had a heart attack. The shock of the call I received from my husband on my way to work, immediatelyturning around to come home. Vito was fine this morning nothing wrong up and about handing with my kids before school. As the shock wore off, I immediately thought of this page and the posts I have read. When posts from this page would come into my feed I always wondered and hoped I would be one of the lucky ones and that my guy was healthy, but now I wonder if it was the breeding. He showed no signs of being sick except gingivitis and a chronic allergy with black nose discharge that would clear and come back. We ran many tests that the vet was unable to find anything. She would always say, you don’t breed for teeth it’s for looks and he was a beautiful. We only had 4 year with Vito and now my family is heartbroken. I am choosing not to have an autopsy because it won’t bring him back but I will not be going back to Raisa. I will miss my boy but will always wonder about the breeder. 💔

We got Zelda from Raisa 5 years ago. As far as we knew she was healthy. Took her to the vet when we first got her and Had just been a few months ago.
Last week she started breathing weird. We took her to the vet who said she was having heart failure. She passed within a half hour of being at the vet. It was such a shock. I never could have imagined she could just die so suddenly. I know this can be common in MaineCoons but at 5 years old, the vet said Zelda’s heart was the worst she’d ever seen and that we should contact the breeder to let them know.
I text Raisa but got no response. I truly believe it’s from poor breeding.

3. Withholding CFA Paperwork: If you have not received your CFA paperwork, it is highly unlikely that you will receive it from Raisa.
4. Ignoring Communication: Raisa tends to stop communicating with customers once issues arise, making it difficult for them to address their concerns.
I am writing to share my experience with Raisa, also known as Coonomagic, a breeder of Maine coons. I have found that when you start to communicate with her about a sick kitten, she will initially blame you and eventually cut off all communication. Additionally, if you have not received your CFA paperwork, you will not receive it from her.
It is important to note that the majority of the time, Raisa does not neuter the cats before they are picked up, resulting in the responsibility falling on the buyer. Despite clearly stating all kittens are spayed and neutered prior to purchase.
Despite evidence of hereditary issues in autopsy reports and veterinarian records, Rasia will continue to blame the buyer.
If you are a victim of Raisa / Coonomagic unethical practices or if you have purchased a sick Maine coon from her, it is crucial that you take action. I have provided a list of steps to follow in this posts and comments, and I urge you to take them seriously. The only way to stop Raisa / Coonomagic is by complaining and making a commitment to seeing this through.
During this process, you may receive comments on your posts saying adopt don't shop, but it is important to remember that we have the right to preserve full breed cats and to receive a healthy cat, especially when they are listed on CFA and TICA. The hereditary issues and sickness in these cats are unacceptable, and we need to take action to stop it.
You will also receive backlash from fake accounts claiming they have 100% healthy cats! I say fake because from doing research I can confirm these accounts are 100% fake, as they been reported to META/ FB and have been deleted.

I have created #tags and a Facebook page to bring attention to this situation, and I encourage you to do the same. The more attention we bring to Raisa / Coonomagic unethical practices, the more likely we are to put a stop to it.
If you have lost a Maine coon from Rasia / Coonomagic at young age considering Maine Coons live to 18 to 20 year. I urge you to take the time to get autopsies done, obtain vet reports, and report them to the websites provided. It is crucial that we do our due diligence in reporting her and shutting her down.

Yes Maine Coons have issues we all know this, but to pass so young from heart disease or other issues could of been prevented with proper and ethical breeding practices.
I cannot do this alone, and I need your help. The New York State Pet Lemon Law is on our side, and I encourage you to read the information provided and take action.
I beg you to do the right thing and do your due diligence in reporting her because, by me being the only one doing this, nothing will ever be done. You joining this group or following me for my status updates on my cats and my outcomes is not enough; you need to take your own steps in this matter to help stop her. I cannot do this on my own!

●OUR PERSONAL STORY●
My personal experience with Coonomagic has been a nightmare I bought two kittens from this breeder both of them were sick from day one communication with the breeder ended up with her blaming me and not taking responsibility.
Kylo was diagnosed with a heart murmur at his first veterinarian visit 5 days after purchasing them. Also tricuspid valve dysplasia at the age of 3 months, while investigating the murmur. The breeder actually blames me and our veterinarian versus taking responsibility.
Sadly Kylo passed away from sudden heart failure from tricuspid valve dysplasia and HCM before his third birthday he lived a very sick life, lived a life in a kennel due to his medical conditions spent most of his days at veterinarians, had to be given IV fluids put into his neck by me on a daily basis. Continually forced to take medication daily. Other medical conditions that Kylo had are Stomatitis, asthma, continuous horns on his paws, hip dysplasia had to have surgery at the age of 2 years old all things that are Hereditary/ Congenital and have been documented as Hereditary /Congenital. He requireid several dental procedures Stomatitis in his short life.
Despite all this he was a beautiful happy cat but the beauty of the cat does not matter what matters is the health of the cat if the breeder is not selling a healthy cats this is unethical and unacceptable!
Kylo sister Reya has been very sick herself since day one diagnosed with a condition called #SIBO aka small intestinal bacterial overgrowth this is due to unhealthy Cattery conditions and or from the mother. This took months if not years to fully get under control with expensive veterinarian bills and medication.
Reya also has Spinal muscular atrophy (#SMA)
infused spine and requires daily medicine for pain. This is due to breeding and is hereditary and could have been prevented if she just stopped breeding from those parents.
Reya also has #Stomatitis, since 6 months old. Just as her brother Kylo requires yearly dental procedures. That cost more due current medical issues she requires extra intervention during any procedure.
Reya is still very sick Reya has to have a surgery that cost $20,000 that is a 50/50 shot due to a heredity condition called #PPDH this is when the organs are attached to the inside of the upper Canal chest this is congenital this is documented as hereditary.
It is believed that the PPDH in the present patient was congenital at birth. (Note from 3 veterinarians)
This could all been avoided with proper screening prior to sale, including testing. Echocardiograms , blood work and genealogy tests!
Another thing to note is that upon arrival at home with the kittens they will more like feral cats then cats that have been raised by humans, it took about 2 months for them to completely adjust and find comfort in recognizing humans. This alone shows that these cats are not raised are properly bread in a good environment. Things that should have been brought to my attention despite finding this breeder on TICA and CFA is that when I walked into the Cattery the smell of urine was horrible I was not allowed to go in the area where the kittens were the kitten was brought out to me and was completely horrified. At a very very high cost I paid $3,500 for Kylo $2,500 Reya
Rasia did offer to take the cats back, this was scary to us considering they were not spayed or neutered yet we were fearful she would breed them or even worse just put them down.
The offer was to return with zero reimbursement of purchase or cost of veterinary bills we had acquired over the weeks/months of having them.
So we concluded that was not an option!
She states on her website that all cats are left Neutered and Spade this is false information considering we had to have them Neutered in Spade.
We were promised the #CFA paperwork after they were neutered and spayed but what happened was with the cats sick and I tried continue a communication in regards to their health and she had stopped communication with me and never provided the CFA paperwork to me so we paid for CFA certified cats and never received the paperwork for them.
Kylo and Reya's medical bills are well documented and I have made them public.
I have received multiple controversy over this with a lot of the Breeders friends in other buyers that claim to have healthy cats that I am making up my stories, my story is not made up my story is well documented. Proven with autopsy reports and current veterinarian reports from my still living cat Reya.
When I share my story on social media or other platforms I get feedback of adopt don't shop yes this is a very important thing to remember to do but we do have a right to purchase a full breed cat especially when they are listed on #TICA and #CFA and we should expect healthy cats and when she is continually selling sick cats and nothing is being done our voices need to be heard and the only way to make that happen is by us standing together as Maine coon owners I urge you to please take any steps that I have advised in previous post to help stop her.

The process to stop this breeder has become tedious, it's been 5 years and I'm still going everyday to shut her down but I need help I need help from people that join this group I need people that follow me to help me I need people to help share their stories use hashtag campaigns do something to help shut her down following me on social media and waiting for status updates on my cat's condition is not enough you need to do the autopsy reports you need to submit the veterinarian reports to the links that I provided in other post it is the utmost importance that you do this the cost that we have experienced with Kylo and Reya have exceeded the amounts of $30,000 with no reimbursement from Raisa/ Coonomagic , and I do not want anyone else to suffer the way I did or even worse the way Kylo did and Reya continues to suffer daily!
Facts to my story:

It is seen in Maine Coon cats, and is inherited as an autosomal recessive disorder, meaning that a copy of the mutation is passed to an affected kitten from both parents.
Genetics may play a role in stomatitis in Maine Coon cats, as the condition is more common in certain breeds, including Maine Coons.
Before purchasing a Maine Coon please do research. Referral links from TICA , CFA and WCF should be disregarded in my opinion.

We got 2 beautiful kittens from Coonomagic 3 years ago, 4 months ago we bought another kitten from this breeder. All cats are gorgeous and healthy. We always getting a million compliments from our vet.
HCM Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is from breeding, keep defending her. My boy didn't even make it to 3 years old! This breeder should be ashamed! Hopefully you don't wake up to your babies passes away on the floor. Im disgusted how anyone can defend this lady. His sister is still sick! Shameful!

Now it’s 2 years old 27 lb little lion. He has wonderful personality gorgeous fur and no health issues.
We would recommend Raisa with Coonomagic to all maincoons fans. She is breeding wonderful cats.
Klyo passed away February 22, 2021 from HCM Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is from breeding. Keep defending her, good job! Hope your boy doesn't die suddenly. As long as she is still breeding I won't stop! I found my boy on the floor dead, my best friend. And his sister is still sick! I absolutely refuse to let this go. He wasn't even 3 years old, it wasn't his time, he loved life, loved his family, was so happy! He would still be here if it wasn't for bad breeding! End of story! I have the messages of others if needed for verification. But one lady claimed she also got a sick male kitten with heart issues. Another complained about eye issues, I'd have to go back to my messages for the medical terminology she used, but she stated the kitten lost his eye due to this issue. And the other two also stated heart issues/ conditions that are heredity.

Coonomagic is a wonderful place - my family has 4 cats from them.
I got 4 kittens from Coonomagic. 2 for me, 1 for my parents, 1 for my daughter. The oldest 2 now is 8 years old, the other 2 are 5 and 5.5 years old. They
all absolutely gorgeous and healthy. Mine male 26 lb and female 17 lb living in our house with dog who is theirs best friend. Daughters cat lives in Philly with 2 human twin brothers ( 3.5 years old). Never one of them had a scratch even by accident. The 5 years old boy is emotional support animal for my 98 years old dad and best companion for my 88 years old mom. All of them came from Coonomagic and
Raisa did excellent job of raising and breeding healthy and beautiful kittens. I was very surprised
to find negative reviews from kylo_reya on this and other websites, so I did some research on my own.
Michelle, who is behind all these reviews , has a lot of mental problems. She got 2 beautiful kittens ( blue smoke gorgeous and very rare). Michelle who is the AA ( she is recovering alcoholic and she didn’t mention it to breeder otherwise breeder would make sure it’s safe to sell her kittens- breeder very protective of her babies and makes sure the right kitten goes to the right person).All my friends, whom I recommend Raisa keep praising her and fur babies they got from her).
So to continue with my research :these 2 rarest blue smoke kittens ( best from the litter of 5 , other 3 are healthy and living happily with their adopted parents)were unlucky to end up with Michelle . Michelle has adult son ( who lives separately) and mom ( whom she placed to the nursing home). So Michelle decided these 2 poor kittens are her new babies and as a proud “mom” she deserves all of the attention. She got them on the leash and started to drug them to the public places- Petco - to make them sit on the laps of Santa; park - to drink infected water from the lake, nursing home- saying they are for emotional support of the patient; got for them a car seats to drug them all day in the car. She was very happy, from nobody, she became famous lady with 2 beautiful cats. She was making tons of pics, posting them and sending them to different competitions for awards.The only one who was miserable were cats ( who are domestic animals and hate to be drugged from the house to unknown places ). Finally cats got some stomach viruses ( probably from drinking water from the pond and being constantly under the stress). Michelle immediately contacted breeder and blamed her ( cats started having loose poop 6 months after being adopt by Michelle- of course it’s breeder fault). Raisa who saw from millions of pic how her precious babies were mistreated immediately offer to take them back and treat them with her vet. But Michelle was trying to squeeze her for money sending fake 10k bills from different vets.
Next thing happened when the boy was fixed, his vet overdose him with seduction and he was kept one extra day with the vet. And poor Reya was also forced to stay with IV with vet ( according to Michelle “ she wanted to stay with her brother”). And of course it also breeder fault. As soon as these poor babies recovered the nightmare started again. Michelle contacted Raisa and demanded CFA papers so she can be a star and take these poor cats to the cat show ( if you are crazy enough you can bring fixed cats to the cat show. Mostly cats are hating these show and breeder taking them not to shine, but to get evaluated by judges and get a title. Because ,sadly for cats ,everyone wants a Kittens from CFA champs. But to take a fix cat to the show is very selfish ( don’t mistake cat show and dog show- dogs totally different type of animal and love to be in the center of attention). Raisa didn’t want her kittens to suffer any more so for cats safety she didn’t send her these paper ( although me and all my friends got these useless CFA paper - we don’t breed our cats or drag them to the show). Michelle didn’t give up, she was constantly dragging her cats to the public places to produce these pics ( she even created instagram account for them and bought 2750followers (36 she got on her own)). Go to her instagram kylo_reya and you will find 2786 followers but only 3-4 likes under each photo and each of her followers has a 0 posts. But as I mentioned before Michelle is not very healthy mentally. Instead of concentrating on her mental health,she was determined to make money on her cats. Falling to make breeder to pay her 10k+ from her fake vet bills , she decided to make money from photos.
Beeing outside with Kylo she decided to make a pic with him sitting on the tall tree, she drug poor boy on to the high branch and fixed him with the leash, so he wouldn’t run away during the photo session.
Poor cat fell from the tree and being hold by the leash managed to brake his hip. This poor beautiful animal needed a hip replacement in very young age. Michelle again was trying to contact the breeder and blame her and ask for money .Eventually Michelle managed to kill the poor animal, who just , after another dragging him to the public place, where everybody could touch him and praise Michelle for having such beautiful “son”, collapsed and died ( his heart couldn’t take this stress anymore). Whom to blame ? You got it right- the evil breeder. Now Michelle is after poor Reya ( Reya is a female, and not so big as Kyle was, that’s why she managed to survive before- the whole Michelle’s attention was on poor Kylo). I don’t know how long this poor girl would last.At the same time Michelle ,who after Kylo died ( or more exactly was killed by her) got a lot of free time started a war against the breeder. She opened a fb page just to post a dirt about Coonomagic, created false negatives reviews, posted a lot of negative reviews on different sites. She even filled a complaint with FCA, FCA made a visit to the Coonomagic and praised Raisa how good her cattery is and sent her letter of recognition. I think Raisa should file a lawsuit against Michelle for all her badmouthing and trying to harm her business.
Also ,please ,if you decide to get a cat study a little about these animals! They are not dogs ! They are not. Human babies ! They are cats! With different mentality and habits! When we are traveling our dog always goes with us or staying with a dog sitter. Our cats always stay in our “ their house” and I’m hiring a person to visit them , feed them and etc.
The documents speak for them self's! And so does the other sick babies dying from the same conditions! You all have a right to freedom of speech to speak on someone's mental health to distract from the real issues is disgusting! You should be ashamed half of society has some form of depression or mental illnesses and to unjustly post something so outlandish, you should be ASHAMED.
Stop spreading lies . You abused and killed your kitten now you want to blame breeder, just because you wasn’t able to squeeze her for money with your fake med bills.

I know this feeling oh to well. I sadly attempted suicide 3 days ago to them. I know I need help. It's just my thoughts in my head take control (
I got 4 kittens from Coonomagic. 2 for me, 1 for my parents, 1 for my daughter. The oldest 2 now is 8 years old, the other 2 are 5 and 5.5 years old. They
all absolutely gorgeous and healthy. Mine male 26 lb and female 17 lb living in our house with dog who is theirs best friend. Daughters cat lives in Philly with 2 human twin brothers ( 3.5 years old). Never one of them had a scratch even by accident. The 5 years old boy is emotional support animal for my 98 years old dad and best companion for my 88 years old mom. All of them came from Coonomagic and
Raisa did excellent job of raising and breeding healthy and beautiful kittens. I was very surprised
to find negative reviews from kylo_reya on this and other websites, so I did some research on my own.
Michelle, who is behind all these reviews , has a lot of mental problems. She got 2 beautiful kittens ( blue smoke gorgeous and very rare). Michelle who is the AA ( she is recovering alcoholic and she didn’t mention it to breeder otherwise breeder would make sure it’s safe to sell her kittens- breeder very protective of her babies and makes sure the right kitten goes to the right person).All my friends, whom I recommend Raisa keep praising her and fur babies they got from her).
So to continue with my research :these 2 rarest blue smoke kittens ( best from the litter of 5 , other 3 are healthy and living happily with their adopted parents)were unlucky to end up with Michelle . Michelle has adult son ( who lives separately) and mom ( whom she placed to the nursing home). So Michelle decided these 2 poor kittens are her new babies and as a proud “mom” she deserves all of the attention. She got them on the leash and started to drug them to the public places- Petco - to make them sit on the laps of Santa; park - to drink infected water from the lake, nursing home- saying they are for emotional support of the patient; got for them a car seats to drug them all day in the car. She was very happy, from nobody, she became famous lady with 2 beautiful cats. She was making tons of pics, posting them and sending them to different competitions for awards.The only one who was miserable were cats ( who are domestic animals and hate to be drugged from the house to unknown places ). Finally cats got some stomach viruses ( probably from drinking water from the pond and being constantly under the stress). Michelle immediately contacted breeder and blamed her ( cats started having loose poop 6 months after being adopt by Michelle- of course it’s breeder fault). Raisa who saw from millions of pic how her precious babies were mistreated immediately offer to take them back and treat them with her vet. But Michelle was trying to squeeze her for money sending fake 10k bills from different vets.
Next thing happened when the boy was fixed, his vet overdose him with seduction and he was kept one extra day with the vet. And poor Reya was also forced to stay with IV with vet ( according to Michelle “ she wanted to stay with her brother”). And of course it also breeder fault. As soon as these poor babies recovered the nightmare started again. Michelle contacted Raisa and demanded CFA papers so she can be a star and take these poor cats to the cat show ( if you are crazy enough you can bring fixed cats to the cat show. Mostly cats are hating these show and breeder taking them not to shine, but to get evaluated by judges and get a title. Because ,sadly for cats ,everyone wants a Kittens from CFA champs. But to take a fix cat to the show is very selfish ( don’t mistake cat show and dog show- dogs totally different type of animal and love to be in the center of attention). Raisa didn’t want her kittens to suffer any more so for cats safety she didn’t send her these paper ( although me and all my friends got these useless CFA paper - we don’t breed our cats or drag them to the show). Michelle didn’t give up, she was constantly dragging her cats to the public places to produce these pics ( she even created instagram account for them and bought 2750followers (36 she got on her own)). Go to her instagram kylo_reya and you will find 2786 followers but only 3-4 likes under each photo and each of her followers has a 0 posts. But as I mentioned before Michelle is not very healthy mentally. Instead of concentrating on her mental health,she was determined to make money on her cats. Falling to make breeder to pay her 10k+ from her fake vet bills , she decided to make money from photos.
Beeing outside with Kylo she decided to make a pic with him sitting on the tall tree, she drug poor boy on to the high branch and fixed him with the leash, so he wouldn’t run away during the photo session.
Poor cat fell from the tree and being hold by the leash managed to brake his hip. This poor beautiful animal needed a hip replacement in very young age. Michelle again was trying to contact the breeder and blame her and ask for money .Eventually Michelle managed to kill the poor animal, who just , after another dragging him to the public place, where everybody could touch him and praise Michelle for having such beautiful “son”, collapsed and died ( his heart couldn’t take this stress anymore). Whom to blame ? You got it right- the evil breeder. Now Michelle is after poor Reya ( Reya is a female, and not so big as Kyle was, that’s why she managed to survive before- the whole Michelle’s attention was on poor Kylo). I don’t know how long this poor girl would last.At the same time Michelle ,who after Kylo died ( or more exactly was killed by her) got a lot of free time started a war against the breeder. She opened a fb page just to post a dirt about Coonomagic, created false negatives reviews, posted a lot of negative reviews on different sites. She even filled a complaint with FCA, FCA made a visit to the Coonomagic and praised Raisa how good her cattery is and sent her letter of recognition. I think Raisa should file a lawsuit against Michelle for all her badmouthing and trying to harm her business.
Also ,please ,if you decide to get a cat study a little about these animals! They are not dogs ! They are not. Human babies ! They are cats! With different mentality and habits! When we are traveling our dog always goes with us or staying with a dog sitter. Our cats always stay in our “ their house” and I’m hiring a person to visit them , feed them and etc.
