My nightmare beginning to present: I submitted numerous applications only to be informed over and over the property has been rented. No one would answer or return calls or emails to try to find what properties were ACTUALLY available; I had to take the first thing that came available which was priced at an exorbitant amount for what it was. Then being forced to deal with Simple Bills which is its own gateway to Hell. The house was filthy, I couldn’t see out the back patio doors or windows because they had inches of dirt on them; mold growing out of the returns in the ceilings; not just nasty, but completely unsafe to live in which was all reported to Conrex. The backyard was so overgrown and piles of trash in the backyard. Tree branches were dragging the ground - all reported to Conrex and video taken. 10 days after moving in, my electric was shut off. The electric company wouldn’t talk to me because it wasn’t my name on the bill, it was in Simple Bills’ name, all they would tell me is there was a past due balance which the electric company wouldn’t let me pay. Conrex blamed Simple Bills and told me to call them and Simple Bills blamed Conrex and told me to call them - no one would help me to get my electric back on. I stayed in a hotel for 2 weeks that I paid for. No one ever came to check the mold growing out of the vents and no one ever came to clean up the back yard and the trees with branches dragging the ground. 3 months before my lease was up, I got a notice on my door saying there was a mandatory inspection by the City of Jackson and informing me if I didn’t give them access to the lockbox containing the keys to the house I’m renting, I will be fined $250. I took off work to be there and watched as a representative from Jackson and someone from a company representing Conrex opened every door, drawer, cabinet, closet; there was no item that I owned that wasn’t touched or gone through; they opened my mother’s box of ashes along with every other box in my storage shed. They knew every item I owned. They made lists of everything in the house along with everything they were requiring Conrex to repair. I was advised that someone would be in touch to begin making the repairs. Further, there were bars on every opening in the house. Conrex did not provide me with keys to the bars on the windows so if a fire broke out in the house, I had no escape. Instead of having a key made, Conrex decided to remove the bars leaving me the only person in my neighborhood with no bars on the windows in Jackson Mississippi. I was told someone would contact me to start making the repairs but instead, Conrex gave the code to the lockbox to 3 separate maintenance companies. During the next couple of months, I woke up to people in my house, had just exited the shower and walk out to 3 people in my bedroom; came home for lunch and 4 people are in my backyard with the fence gate open and my back door standing open, smoking weed and cigarettes that they threw down on the ground. 10 different people let themselves in the house with no prior notice and that’s just the ones I happened on to. There were people there several times when I was at work. I came home to doors unlocked and knew people had been in the house. I was scared to be home and I was scared to leave - horrible way to live for months. My last bill was supposed to be under $500 because my move out date was early in the month only to log on to pay my last rent payment and owe $3000. After 20+ calls to find out why I would owe this, the gal I finally get hold of gives me the correct amount due and owing which was less than $500. Now, months after being gone, I receive a threatening letter saying I owe $3500 and they somehow think my many security deposits I paid, don’t exist. I was thinking I would get every penny of the refundable deposits back due to the house being in 50 times better shape than it was when I moved in and they are now demanding thousands of dollars. Nightmare that I can’t get away from. They have made my life miserable since I moved in.

Desired outcome: I want my refundable security deposits returned and not be asked for more money or ruin my credit.
