The school shut down with no warning with my class less than 1/3 done. The doors are locked, the lights are out, and they aren't answering the phones. Now I owe $13, 000 in student loans and will have NO EDUCATION to show for it!

I have filled out a form with a law firm 10 min ago, and hopefully they will get back to me. I have completed the course and was just waiting for the economy to get a little better before I switch careers. The only thing I'm concerned with is the guarantee of the job placement they promised us. So we'll see how this goes. If everyone jumps on the wagon in a mass, we could possibly get all our money back, or at least half, that's what I want. As far as Sally Mae, I was advised not to pay my bill till things are settled. I dont have the money now to pay it, and it's a school loan, there's no lien on it, I have nothing to show for the money, and so they cant take anything from me. I was promised help to find a job, they wont give me any help, I wont give them any money. I came through on my end, they didnt, why should I pay. I wouldnt buy a new SUV if they gave it to me without the motor.

Caveat emptor! Thomas Tusser aptly quoted, "a fool and his money are soon parted". Whilst I am empathetic with everyone who got burned by Computer Training, I am also a bit in the column of DOH, y'all got hosed.

I mean c'mon, let's look at this pragmatically. CT.com wants their 14K upfront (first red flag). No need to fill out a FAFSA to see if you qualify for grants/scholarships (second red flag). No provision for an Individual Payment Plan (for folks who really do not need to take a Sallie Mae; third red flag). No real affiliation with any college and no provision for the "coursework" to translate to real college credits (fourth red flag). Then on the class level, no recording of the courses, really? I have never taken a class where the student could not record the content for future review (fifth red flag).

My 19 y.o. son and I visited the "campus". I was impressed with the fact that the "director of admissions" commented on how his scores from the online entrance exam he took when he was 16 and then again just prior to visiting the campus had improved. Now that's good salesmanship! I was also impressed with the students and instructor who were more than happy to talk to you about what they were doing and learning. However, during the two hour plus visit I had a niggling feeling that something just wasn't right. Call me paranoid, but that whole if it's too good to be true statement really screams out at this point.

Hopefully, everyone who was hurt by this is made whole (at least in some part) and those who are responsible for allowing it to happen are held accountable and made to pay from their personal and corporate assets.

Moral of the story is this: Don't try shortcutting anything of value; you'll only wind up getting cut short!

i read about this online if you take alook at the website they are doing what they can to get you your cedits so you can transfer to another school. i dont know much about it i have not been apart of the school. but they seem to want to get your money and grants back the bank kinda screwed the school over and didnt give the school much time to do anything else but close the doors and shut down the website now atleast they have something up to get you information. trying to help out but hell i would be prety mad too

I graduated in June 08, and realized shortly after that I was 'played' by a well organized lending scam that has me owing more money in loans than I can possibly pay. The course was hurried, and as the 6 months of class progressed the c;### became more and more dry and dissolute. The "Final" was a two-day lab catastrophe; yet the instructors calimed we 'passed', that I couldn't help but sense it was a thick layer of wool smartly disguising a scam.
No wonder they were so strick on recording policies.
My counselor was nothing more than a trained hussy meant to provide more visual satisfaction than business.
I hope to be contacted about how I can submit my testimony to any major lawsuits involved against this wicked con. lyhue.w@gmail.com

I went to CT.com in Michigan. I was placed within 6 months of graduation. i personally think it was a great program.
I feel so bad for the students and employees of CT.com. I was told by my instructor for the course that the holding company siezed CT.com and shut the doors. Ct.com employees didnt even know this was coming !

i was fortunate enough to finish the course a year ago. But this still effects everyone. We are supposed to have career services for life.
We all need to find out who the holding company for CT.com is, and get answers.
I feel so bad for everyone effected. Current students, recents graduates, and CT.com employees.

I took those classes last year in VA. I've still not been placed, have two children to support on my own, never got an email reply after I graduated and one of the staff left, and I still have the 30, 000 loan to try and pay. Looks to me as if they took us all.

Dont worry guys everything will be ok, I notified my local news company and they want to do a story. I would encourage you all to do the same because this will get the word out to everyone everywhere and they will have to give us some answers. Im also 100% certain that there is going to be a group law suit. We will all get our money back and then some. I would also encourage you to contact a lawyer ASAP and figure out your options. Remember we will probably be going against some of the best lawyers out there so we have to hit em big! If everyone sticks togeather we will be good to go!

My husband was notified via e-mail that the school was closing. His instructor called him Wednesday evening to let him know that classes were canceled for the evening, and that he would see him Monday evening. Now my husband has our 4 children, and me to support while he is unemployed, and paying a student loan, along with other bills. I am working part-time in the evenings, and that won't be enough to cover bills! My poor husband is at the end of his rope with stress, and this certainly hasn't helped matters any! He was really relying on this education to make a better life for his family!
