Friends of our family reserved a puppy by Glory Land Labrador Kennel.
The Glory Land Labrador Kennel, just got a new litter of puppies, I learned they where born by c-section.
I understand this can happen, but what me concerned, she was breeding a dog which she expected problem when delivering the puppies. The price of a puppy was set for $ 1, 500
After the puppies where born via c-section they want now $ 2, 000 for a puppy, because she got only four puppies.
first the health of a dog and her puppies should be respected and she should not breed this dog. (our friends did't tell this until today, otherwise I would have give them the advice to search for an other breeder)
second set a price and be fair and keep the price you told your puppy buyers.

I will report this breeder to the CKC.

I find it absolutely amazing that a person who has never come to my home, met my dogs, or knows my businesses breeding practices can make a comment, and that this site can try and scam people out of thousands of dollars to get it off.

I contacted this company and told them I have never met the person who posted this. I’ve been in business for 12 years, have a 5 star rating on Google and have wonderful reviews.

Please go to my website and FB page, come visit us, and see for yourself what my dogs are like.

I found this complaint after researching Glory Land Labradors to purchase, I must say that I am shocked to see such a complaint. I have grown up showing dogs at dog shows and am very familiar and acquainted with many CKC kennels and dog breeders, and as such, I was prepared and knew what to look for when talking to this breeder. The family was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and it is obvious that their dogs are part of their family first and are of the utmost importance to them. This is evident not only in the physical health and well being of their dogs but also with all the vet (OFFA, PRCD, X-rays, vaccine, up to date check ups etc.), and CKC verified paperwork. You can also see the evidence of care and importance in their breeding program when you see the strong parental bloodlines as well as the temperament and structure of their dogs. Glory Land's Labradors are beautiful, have wonderful temperaments, are well trained, and it is very evident that their whole family has a part in rearing and raising these lovely animals.

In regards to price increase after having to have a c-section, I do not think you will find or should expect any breeder to take a financial loss on their puppies if they have a choice. The amount of money good breeders receive (after testing, stud fees, registrations, vaccines & vet examinations of both the pregnant female and the pups, X-rays/ultrasounds, food, toys, blankets (and the loads of laundry to keep it all clean), and not to mention the time and energy it takes to raise happy, healthy and socially rounded pups - just to name a few!) is not as much as you would think it is.

I am happy to be on this breeders wait list and look forward to purchasing a Glory Land pup!

I would further include, if a c-section is a problem, then don't contact any breeder because I can assure you, most every breeder has had a dog run into problems and they needed a c-section. I deal only with reproductive doctors, who are on hand for all such emergency procedures. It bugs me to no end, whoever this person is can write false information about me and my breeding practices without a name.

I would like to respond to this comment. For one, breeding a dog and having a c section is not risking the life of a dog or puppy. It was an emergency, so I did not plan it. I have never pressured anyone to buy a puppy from me, matter of fact, I have a long list waiting since I'm the only breeder that whelps inside the entire time in my home. I am one of the only breeders that invite people into my home and show ALL paperwork, this would include OFFA X-rays, PRCD testing, CKC registration and include CKC papers with my puppies. I breed 1 litter per year, give a 1 year guarantee, and my dogs are my pets that live in my home, I'm not a kennel. I guess anyone, a friend of a friend of a friend can write a comment about my breeding program, without ever coming into my home, meeting me nor my dogs and I have no way of knowing who wrote it.
