In april of 2006, I ordered a diamond ring from USN (Ultimate Shopping Network). I received the ring on approximately May 1, 2006. The ring looked nothing like the one they displayed on television (Channel 17-KJLA where I reside). The diamonds were the worst I have ever seen. I had also ordered another ring which I had not received.

The day I received the first ring, I contacted USN. I told them I wanted to return the ring. They gave me an RA number (Return Authorization Number). I also told them I wanted to cancel the second ring order.

I returned the first ring using all the proper documentation through UPS. I waited a month and no refund. I called the company. They said it would be coming. I called them several more times but I never got the refund for either ring.

It has been 10 months now and no refund. The total of the two rings was $6,000.00. Not including finance charges. My credit card company (Citi-Bank Mastercard) was no help whatsoever and actually insulted me by saying that they were not responsible for frivolous purchases I made.

At the beginning of January 2007, I suddenly received a call from someone who said they were from USN. This person told me I would be getting a refund in 15 - 30 days. I counted off the business days on my calendar and of course never received a refund.

I want compensation from these people. They not only have my $6,000.00 but they have caused me constant aggravation, personal time and finance charges for the $6,000.00 which is still on my credit card.

Where's the justice for the consumer who buys something in good faith and then gets defrauded.

I purchased a gold coin for $1014.95 that was advertised on USN shopping network on television. I decided to return the coin, and did, by registered mail. They received it but never credited my charge card. I contacted them numerous times via telephone. They kept promising that the credit would appear on my next bill, but it never did. They disconnected their phone, and moved over 1 year ago.

I ordered two rings from them which they sent by UPS and required an adult signature. I work so I signed the card for delivery including a copy of my drivers license indicating I am an adult (55 yrs old) but they still would not leave the packages. Ultimately they were returned to the company. I have tried several times to contact them by phone but the phone is either busy or there is not an answer. I e-mailed them to inquire about my refund of $249.45 but they do not respond. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

While it is late finding you all, I, too, lost $ 2400 when I purchased a three diamond ring in September 2006. Never received the ring; never received the refund. At one point, was offered a store credit with an additional 10%. Experienced all the same diversions as the rest, watched the channel go off the air, contacted the Ca BBB and Attorneys General of PA and Ca. Credit card would not reimburse due to time frame - said it was too far past the point of purchase ... something else that makes no sense. Anyway, if any class action, civil or criminal, please let me know. Thanks, Bev!

I also purchased a 1600 dollar ring, they sent the wrong one, I sent it back requesting my money or the correct ring I had ordered, and never heard another word. I went through all the proper channels and NOTHING>

Sorry guys. Anyone have a clue as to how to handle this? I don't have the ring OR the money.
Please email me if anyone has helpful informayion. This happened around April 2006.

I agree with the rest of you... I have been trying to get my money back from orders I canceled and returned for over a year... And now they seem not to have a phone number or a business that I can get an address for... I'm calling my attorney... Hopefully I can get some of my $10,000 back.

Hey everybody... I have the same problem like everybody else. Received item, returned item b/c it was not what was promised on tv and now after several and many, many phone calls to them and of course the same story that i would receive my money within 10-14 days. I called amex and they can not help or they choose to not help b/c they said it's past 60 days- they are sorry too! I will never purchase anything else with them since they can not back me up- why even use them if they can not help! I have contacted 2 different attorney with hope. I should hear from them by this week. I am definitely on board for a civil class action suit! Usn is sorry and they need to pay everybody $$$ email me if you have additional info that can help... I am on board with the suit! I hope one of the att can help us!

I purchased two $50 gold buffalo coins @ $999.00 ea back in Aug 2006. I wasn't to happy with the quality and decided to return them. I did as I was advised and shipped them UPS. After a month of not seeing a credit I started calling. The customer service department would say they would credit my card back in 10-14 days. This went on for 4 months (Has anybody else noticed that the customer service was not here in the United States but routed overseas). Then in January I got a different customer service agent and he said the company was in financial trouble and didn't know when I would get my money. I am with anyone else for filing a class action law suit. Please contact me if there is anything that I can do to help us get our money back.

YET Another victim of USN. They are into me for better than 2500.00 since Sept. 06 for a purchased ring. I have the same story. I called repeatedly and was promised a refund repeatedly but it never happened. I am on the class action wagon also. Anyone who hears anything please let me know.

I'm glad I found this page. I was feeling like such a loser. On top of life, which is hard enough without this huge distraction, these guys gotta go down big time. They're taking food and shelter away from my family. Among the great swindles in history, the cons, the subterfuge, this one hits me hard. In the midst of mortgage defaults, disability/health care debaucles, credit card pushers, these guys are the slime of America. They're thieves and need to do time in an overcrowded prison somewhere. I'm thinking, California. They got me for about $6,000. Class action would be lucrative for the right lawyers, but I need my money back now! I'm going to print this out for my records and hope justice, liberty, democracy, and America prevails over the baser elements of human character.

We need to get together and do something about this! I placed an order for $4384.14 back in June for 3 diamond rings and never received my merchandise. I called and called and they kept saying 2-3 weeks 2-3 weeks and finally I called to cancel my order in September and I was told that it was taking so long because they were waiting for better quality diamonds and bla bla bla and the manager I spoke to promised me I would have the rings the following Monday needless to say they never arrived. They were really good at taking all of our money and now they wont even answer the phone. I called y bank to get my money back and they're still working on the claim because they can't get in touch with them either. I am seeing a lawyer Thursday, I will mention to him that there are a lot of us in the same situation and see what he recommends, hopefully this can finally be resolved.

I'm having the same problem with these thieves, I used my CC to pay for a Three Stone Diamond ring since last October, I never got the ring, I never had a refund and I have been paying interest to my CC since then for the $2604 I paid for the ring, I already reported this to my CC, but I really think we all should filed a complaint at the Better Business Bureau, and see what we can get from this , I’m afraid that this is a huge scam.

Please let me know your thoughts regarding this matter.

These guys are crooks and con artists, this is FRAUD and you must call the district Attorney's office NOW and the police and sheriff's. The main players are Brian Kelley of Manhattan Beach, Michael Rhinestein of Beverly Hills, Brad Berdot and Todd Southwick of Los Angeles and Danny Blair of Hermosa Beach. These crooks are living a lavish lifestyle with your money. They drive fancy cars and live in nice homes. Don't let them get you, they will deny it but they are the culprits of USN. Hope this helps.

I'm in the same boat as all of you above... I want action to be brought against this fraudulent company. The only difference is I NEVER RECEIVED MY PRODUCT! They just took my money & ran basically. I know there are more out in this world like us... we need to come together to get our money or to prevent others to be subject to such loses.

I ordered a ring on july 1st. 2006. It was not what i thought it should be. I called usn for a return number. I shipped it back to them and it was received by them on aug. 1st. 2006. I have called them numerous times and was always told 2 to 3 days, then it was within 15 days, and the last time i called, was assured it would be credited with 15 to 30 days. What a ripoff. I guess that will teach me not to trust the shopping networks.

I also had a terrible experience with them and it's basically the same story. I ordered a few items, pre-cancelled two which were already paid for because they did not arrive beyond the 4 week delivery period before Christmas, received the 3rd item but didn't like it so I returned it and also requested a refund. Was told to wait 2 months and NO REFUND!?!

I called to follow-up, spoke with a Jesse McFarland, was told they were having technical difficulties and was advised to submit a dispute with the creditor. AMEX was no help since it's been over 60 days and that I should have disputed it much earlier. I then explained to the AMEX rep that I was told by USN's customer rep that it was going to take 2 billing cycles and so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

What a terrible mistake and what a hassle! I'm left with no items to show for the payments I've made and after reading your stories, there seems to be no other recourse than to file a class action suit in the hopes of getting our money back. I lost about $1200!

They even lifted my invoice copy from the website under 'My Account' which shows your Order History so I couldn't see my receipts/packing slips anymore which showed the item numbers. All I have to show for it now are the charges on the card. Perhaps it's worth the effort to still go after the creditors to assist so I'm going to persist until I get my refund! Will call and write them again and again... What a hassle!

BUT if they're already out of business... God Help Us and SHAME on ShopUSN!

I agree with everyone above... My dad was ripped off and have no idea how to go about filing a complaint. I see I'm not the only one. If anyone has any helpful info please email me. He's an avid coin collection. Well he never got his coin nor his refund.

I purchased a $799 item which took FOREVER to receive and was a huge disappointment. I did take it to a local diamond dealer and was told it was worth $150 tops. I returned the item without an RMA number because no one answered the telephone to give me one and my credit card company advised me to do that. They have the amount on a hold dispute. Now Fedex has contacted me that the company has moved and there is no forwarding address. So, this morning will contact my credit card company to ask their advice again. I now read the above comment that they are out of business - this should be interesting.

I too have been taken for $700 dollars and a class action suit would be the next step. I contacted the BBB back in October 2006 and then recently I contacted the Attorney General in California to notify them of the issue with this company. I am with anyone that wants to file a class action suit. If they go out of business, the CEO/board are still liable for stolen money/fraudulent charges.

I ordered a Diamond Ring cost appx. 1,900.00 that came with a 1oo% guaranteed refund if not satisfied. The ring was delivered, examined, and returned within 4 days of delivery. USN told us it would take two billing cycles to show a return on our credit card. We waited two cycles and no refund. we called and customer service said it would be refunded within 8 days. ten days later another call plus emails to no avail. Now 8 months later no refund and no reply from the company. Advise don't purchase from USN.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ULTIMATE SHOPPING NETWORK! I have never in my life dealt with such an irresponsible company. They are more than willing to take your order and your money.

I was luckier than some in that I did receive my orders after many many weeks of calling to inquire on their whereabouts, only to be disappointed when they finally arrived. I returned all merchandise expecting the 30-day money back guarantee that was promised. I have not yet received a refund of almost $3,000. This has been on going since June, 2006. I have been trying to contact anyone that has half a brain that would speak with me regarding my account. Those in customer service, which as I now understand has been contracted to a company in India, would listen as I would repeat the same information over and over week after week only to be told that I would receive a refund in 10 days. The last time I called I was told it would take another 15-30 days max. Well I'm still waiting. I was told that everything goes through the accounting department and when I asked to speak with someone in charge no one was available at that time, no supervisors, managers or CEO. Mark Miller (CEO),surely he could authorize a refund! It was a simple transaction, two items ordered, two items returned, this is what you owe me. Issue a refund! These managers and supervisors were always in meetings every time I called. I looked up phone numbers on the net and no one would answer when I called. I've emailed but no response from that either. I sent along a 3-page letter on my last return item and put a note in it to forward to management, nothing came from that as I expected. I was told by customer service to leave a message and someone would contact me within 24 hours, that never happened. At this point I felt as though I was somewhere in the Twilight Zone.

Was anyone else having the same trouble as I was? Could it be that I have been scammed? You know how you get that sickening feeling inside and want to fight back but don't know where to start? Somehow by divine intervention I suppose,I managed to get through to speak someone that I could understand. His side of the story was that he understood my situation, well thank God, he UNDERSTANDS! I was told by him that USN was backlogged in their paperwork, they didn't want to hire anymore people, and that I would be getting a refund but he didn't know when. Well, that certainly MAKES ME FEEL BETTER! He didn't say anything to ease my uncertainties. After all of this I did a little research on the internet and found that USN filed bankruptcy in 2003 or 2004, their stocks aren't doing good, etc. you get the picture. So after months of me getting no where and still seeing their program on Direct TV where they tell you "take it out and shop it" "we guarantee it'll be worth double what you pay for it" I tuned in one day and they were off the air. I called Direct TV and they didn't know where they went, just that another show had taken their place. USN said that they would be back on the air in one week, that has now been at least a month. So after all of this aggravation I called my credit card company. I explained the situation and send all documentation that they requested to them. They are going to give me credit back to my card although I don't know if it will be the full amount. If you are having this same problem, and you used a credit card to make the purchase, contact your credit card company, they are willing to work with you to help resolve the problem. In the meantime USN shouldn't get away with this. There must be thousands of people out there who are out of a bunch of money. Shame on you USN!
