A representative, Wanda Dreher, claiming to be from Transtech Merchant Group called me and told me that my current credit card processing machine is not PCI compliant and must be replaced with a new machine that is PCI compliant. Over several calls, she convinced me that I have to replace the machine. What I ended up however, is just a new pin pad and a Non-cancellable Lease from Lease Finane Group LCC with CPP for 5 years.

I have been with Transtech for over 5 years without a lease agreement because I purchased my machine. Now I have a new pin pad and a lease agreement that I cannot cancel for the next 5 years.

My view of Transtech was neutral even though their statements where hard to verify because the amount settled for the day was never exactly the same as is on the statement, but monthy total is close, yet not quite right to the single digit dollar.

Now, I am started to develope a distaste for Transtech because a representative tricked me into leasing a pin pad for the next five years.

There is one payment needed to complete the transaction and Jesus Christ alone paid it all. He alone paid the cost to save your soul... Turn to Jesus CHrist the way of TRUE change and hope you can beleive in. In His power you will thrive and overcome the deceptions of Obama. He killed somebody, big deal. Osamas death means nothing in the bigger picture that Islam is at war with liberty, rejects the true God. I pray for people to find peace in CHrist as by his wounds we are healed! Obama doesnt deserve a medal or another four years. He has proven to be everything but what he claims to be. WAKE up Jesus will lead you right...God bless!

I had a sales rep from Transtech Merchant Group (Ms Raney) call and state that she was with my current carrier and she needed to stop by and check my machine for new government regulations due to the machine holding customer information. So she stated that it was one of the machines that needed to be replaced. Actually she was replacing the machine and the account. Then the company will wait the 30day grace period before calling to check up or inform you of the account. so you are bound by a contract if you sign anything. then the reps for TMG are no hlep even with contacting the sale ###. who contacted u and trying to clear things up. then they charged me for a new machine that i didnt need. if i had not have caught it i would have had to replace the other machine.

That is not true. I have a basic terminal and all I had to do is sit in a teleconference via internet to be PCI compliant. My was with Trustkeepers. I learned absolutely nothing that I already read in my manual.
Then about your comment that you have all these people and then you'll charge your clients with big bills on a terminal that they haven't used for 12 months, because they no longer have a store. You people don't listen to small business owners to start with. All you see is big 'ol dollar bills or think how you can rip off the next person and cheat the business account out of inventory money causing them overdraft fees for items that you people are no entitle to to start with.

I wanted to take a moment and respond to “Igonow’s” post. I work with Client Relations for Certified Payment Processing (CPP), as well as our direct sales entities—TransTech Merchant Services and Summit Merchant Solutions. First, I apologize for the confusion and want to work with you to clear it up.

For those who don’t know: PCI Compliance is short for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which is a set of requirements designed to ensure that ALL companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. Due to the increase in identity theft and fraud, the major credit card—Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover—established the PCI DSS. (Note: It was NOT imposed by your credit card processor.)

According to a 2009 study, credit and debit card fraud is a bigger concern for Americans than terrorism, computer virus, H1N1 flu and personal safety. (Source: Unisys Security Index: United States, March 2009) This is one of the reasons that PCI compliance is taken seriously by the industry and those of us who provide processing services.

The PCI Standards were originally presented as recommended, but are now MANDATORY and apply to every organization that accepts or processes credit or debit card information, including merchants and third-party service providers. Failure to meet these standards could result in penalties and fines.

For merchants currently taking debit and credit cards, the primary issue becomes: Am I currently PCI compliant? It is true that some machines (including PIN pads) being used today are non-compliant. Therefore, it’s important for the merchant to know for sure so you can avoid possible fees or penalties. Because we care about our clients, we’re working proactively to educate them about the standards and making certain the equipment they’re using meets PCI requirements.

For this specific merchant who posted, I can’t determine for certain your PCI status. However, I can say that we will gladly work with you to address and hopefully resolve this concern. We have an entire department (Client Relations & Retention) designed specifically to make sure our merchant clients are satisfied and understand the services they are receiving from us. You can e-mail Client Relations and Retentions directly at: CRR-911@cpp-360.com

We look forward to hearing from you and working together on a resolution.
