Speedliner may be great by some but I'm experienced on professional & DIY: Like some warranties Speedliner is a Spray-Lining Scam. After the spray on lining was installed and following the Speedliner installers instruction time to let it cure, a light propane tank tipped over in my truck bed which chipped a the liner from the side. After inspecting the damage, I noticed this spray lining was under 1/16 inch thick. I also discovered this fact: Only a small percentage of the truck bed that was at the thickness of spray-lining as advertised. The website advertises its thickness to be at 90 mils; almost 1/8 inch thick over the entire surface of the bed.

I contacted the Speedliner head office on this problem. They said that it is up to the installer to determine how thick the liner should be, they have zero warranty consumers and only installers can warranty any work. I called the guy who sprayed it and he basically told me that's my problem. A thicker Spray Lining Job requires paying double or triple for their advertised thickness.

I'm not sure if Speedliner themselves should be at fault or just the applicator but a Durable Coating this is not. I smell another rat who is another Scam Artist. The spray lining business is one that specializes in applications of polyurea or elastomeric coatings. .For a complete story and additional evidence as to this thickness issue & issues of correct prep just look up polyurea or elastomeric coatings & you'll learn that a protective truck bed lining should be 90 to 125 mils to perform correctly.

To prevent further misrepresentation, Spray Lining Reviews like this one on Speedliner in Complaints Board really help consumers & businesses who don't wish to be SCAMMED. Some coatings dealers or applicators are great. I've had great experience with Line-X and most recently Bullet Liner. I'd love to prosecute those Scam Artists who are at Work to take your money with a phony product, fake service, or phony purchase deals. This info should help to stop it.

This complaint is worthless without specifics regarding the installer. Each Speedliner installer is an independent dealer and is solely responsible for the application and warranty of the product. If you got a bad installation, blame the installer, not the manufacturer. There are thousands upon thousands of satisfied customers out there with Speedliner, Line-X, Rhino, and other bedliners, just like there are people out there like yourself, unhappy with their Speedliner, Line-X, Rhino, etc., installation. I'm relatively certain that if you investigated the complaints/problems such as your, you will find they are due to improper application of product. You want this complaint to help people, direct it at the true problem, the installer, not the product.
