This company sends out mail to only older people in their 60's, 70's and 80's to take advantage of retired folks because the younger generation is more internet savy and will catch onto their scamming ways. They sell material that can be bought for .05 per square foot and make the salesmen sell it for upwards of $2 per sqaure foot from what I unfortunately found out after making a purchase. The dinner I went to was full of fellow elders that were just lied to. The box that they install on the breaker box doesn't work. I had mine taken apart and it doesn't have any of the capabilities I was told it had. When I called to complain and try to get my money back I was told that I have a 5 year guarantee but it says that anytime within that time if I wasn't satisfied I would be able to get UP TO a full refund which is a bunch of garbage. These guys should be held accountable for their lies and bad business practices. I have sense found out alot of information from the salesmen who sold me the equipment about the company which makes me think Im stuck. He was getting the heat off of him is the only reason I can think of that he told me all of the dirt on these dirtbags. Walk away from the not only the company but the invite to their "FREE DINNER" and call your local authorities to see if they have the proper documentation to even be in the town doing any work. I guarantee you that 9 out of 10 times they will not even know about the company more less have a permit or license to do business in the town or county. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!

These complaints that are being posted on these different sites are untrue and done by another Solar Company that is in competion with Solartek International. They do have customers under 60, 70, and 80 years old. It's bad that people would go to all measures possible to damage a Company's reputation because they have to cover their own bad reputation and go as far as to cover up the original Business name with something different so they don't have to deal with their own bad issues instead of confronting their own issues. Instead they want to ruin another Business's reputation because it's easier for them to do. Solartek does stand by their word and when a customer has a problem they do address the issues even if it takes a little time but that's because there are only so many people that handle those issues properly.

I received an email saying that someone posted on this thread. So I look at it which made me laugh. First of all, it's obviously from someone affiliated with the company. Secondly, they're calling me a liar. The only reason I put these posts up is to show how you treat you customers when they're unhappy. There was very little attempt to resolve it until I voiced my opinion. I guess this hurt their sales and now they want to resolve it only because it hurt them. I spoke with the better business bureau about them recently also. Their rating when I did business with them was pretty respectable but now it's horrible. Seems though other unhappy customers are lying on them also. I believe in karma and maybe it's making a full circle turn on this company right now.
