Playasia Disappointing Experience with Playasia: Faulty Product and Terrible Customer Service

My experience with Playasia was pretty disappointing. I was pretty excited to get my hands on a product I ordered, but it turned out to be faulty and completely useless. When I reached out to Playasia regarding the issue, they offered me a voucher for a measly $5 after I paid a total of $52 for the item. I was highly dissatisfied with this and asked for a refund, but they insisted I had to send the faulty item back to Hong Kong at my own expense.

I opened up a case through Paypal to resolve the issue because I wasn’t getting anywhere with Playasia. After several emails back and forth, they finally gave me access to their FedEx account and I sent the item back. However, their customer service only offer me a refund of $17, which was a total joke.

Eventually, I decided to escalate the case through Paypal since Playasia wasn’t willing to offer me a satisfactory resolution. I am grateful that I used Paypal as they eventually awarded me a full refund. The whole ordeal took over a month, with countless emails and messages exchanged between me and Playasia. It wasn’t a very pleasant experience at all, to be frank.

All in all, I would not recommend buying from Playasia. Their customer service was unhelpful throughout the whole process, and I had to rely on Paypal to protect my rights as a consumer. Additionally, their refusal to own up to their mistake and offer a proper refund was extremely disappointing.

Playasia Disappointing Experience with Play-Asia.com: Poor Customer Service and Packaging

So, let's talk about Play-Asia.com, mate. I used to have a great experience with these guys in the past, but lately, I gotta say my feelings are not so hot about 'em. You see, I got a game recently from these blokes, and the disc was all, like... floating around loose in the package. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't like my games to be treated like some yoyo, you know? So, I sent the game back to them, hoping for a replacement or a refund, no big deal.

But, boy, was I bummed when I didn't hear anything back from 'em. I mean, I waited a whole week, and they still weren't doing anything about it. It's like they don't care about their customers, or even know how to do their job right. I mean, come on, what happened to professionalism? What happened to pride in one's work? What happened to common decency?

To be honest, I ain't too chuffed about this whole thing. I mean, Play-Asia.com might have been good in the past, but from where I'm standing, they're not up to snuff anymore. If you're thinking about buying something from 'em, I'd be careful and keep your fingers crossed. 'Cause who knows what might happen? Maybe you'll get lucky, or maybe you'll end up like me, waiting and wondering when your stuff's gonna show up.

Playasia Avoid Playasia for Faster & Reliable Service: Choose Amazon Instead

Playasia is not a good company. They have products that are supposedly in stock on their website, but when you make an order, it takes months for them to actually start preparing the order. And if you try to cancel the order, they completely ignore your request and instead just give you a generic response about how they are trying to fulfill the order as soon as possible. It's like they just want to steal your money and never fulfill their end of the deal.

If you want to avoid this headache, I suggest using Amazon instead. Amazon is way better than Playasia in every aspect. They actually care about their customers and listen to their needs. So, save yourself the trouble and avoid Playasia at all costs.

Playasia Playasia's Incompetence and Disorganization: A Terrible Experience

Had a real bad experience ordering with Playasia. I ordered four or five big-ticket items, and they shipped them all out to the wrong address! Can you believe that? I mean, talk about carelessness. And then, to make matters worse, their website is just terrible. Every time I tried to update my email address, it wouldn't work. It kept reverting back to some old email address I don't even use anymore. And when I tried to validate my email address, it just wouldn't work. Not with any email address, mind you. Not even the current one I wanted to use!

So, I logged into my account to see what was going on, and I found messages where they were basically trying to blame ME for not getting my items. Can you believe that? They made a mistake and they tried to pin it on me. And on top of all that, they had the nerve to charge me for return shipping! I mean, really? How can they do that when it was THEIR mistake in the first place?

I'm really upset about this whole situation. I don't usually write negative reviews, but I had to this time. Playasia's incompetence and disorganization have really put me off doing business with them ever again. I mean, they took my money and didn't deliver what I ordered. That's just not right. I've never been so angry with a company in my whole life.

Playasia Playasia Review: Terrible Customer Support and Endless Mistakes

This here website, Playasia, ain't exactly the epitome of good ol' quality. In fact, their customer support is straight up garbage. It's like talking to ten different people and not one of 'em knows what they're talking about.

You're askin' 'em for help and all they're givin' ya is the exact same thing over and over again. It's like they have a script or somethin', ya know what I mean? Makes you wanna just give up and head to a physical store to get your fix.

I've had two experiences with 'em and both times, they messed up. Two times! All they had to do was take my payment, send me a message, and that's it. Easy peasy. But no, they had to go and forget the first time. Took 'em four whole days to remember my order and I'm just sittin' here thinking, "the heck am I waiting for?"

Second time around they tried to blame some other department for charging me four times the original amount (we're talkin' $200 here, folks) and took a whole month to return my money. I had to go through this thing called a charge back just to get my cash back. What in the world?

Honestly, the way they operate is just downright embarrassing. I wouldn't recommend 'em to my worst enemy. Save yourself the headache and get your stuff somewhere else. Trust me on this one.

Do not buy Gift card from them. They will scam you. They will purposly send you some wrong codes. You can contact the customer suport ,but they will say theres no way they couldve made mistake.

Playasia CHARGE for game but NEVER received!

It's been over a month and I have NOT received the game that I ordered but I have ALREADY BEEN CHARGED for the game. The game supposedly shipped on 12/19/08. Contacted play-asia in early Jan and was told to wait a few more days for the game to arrive. I still did not receive the game by 1/12/09 so I contacted play-asia, asking for detailed shipping info. They were not able to provide me any info and they gave me the run around (e.g. asking to verify the zip code of my address, etc). After reading other reviews on ResellerRatings.com (and this website) where other customers were CHARGED for their order but DID NOT RECEIVE their order (refer to posting from "grapixs" on 3/4/08 3:17 PM, "dougmoen" on 12/3/08 11:45 PM), I immediately contacted my credit card company to fight this charge. Do NOT EVER buy from play-asia.com! It's a SCAM!

ORDERED A VIDEO GAME FOR A RELATIVE FOR X-MAS ON 11-29-14. PAID EXPRESS SHIPPING AND IT IS STILL SITTING SOMEWHERE IN CHINA., WITH NO ESTIMATE OF WHEN IT WILL ARRIVE PER FEDEX.

Play-Asia is currently the biggest video game site in the world for the past decade ( actually 11 years ), Yes-Asia came for the second.
Although expensive to buy, but so legit from Hong Kong.
why would they cheat your little $80 ?
You claimed disc not working, they found working fine after examined the disc.
Who should I trust? They or you ?
IMO,
Either your console is having problem, or You are just trying to trade a used broken disc like those scams do, but failed.
If I am the seller I would have blocked your emails too.

I also got scammed by Play-Asia. I ordered a game from them December 13th 2007, I received the game early January. The game case was smashed and cd loose in the case. It didnt work, I sent the game back. They received the game and emailed me letting me know that they tested the game and that it worked. I emailed back asking them for a replacement, refund or credit. They have not replied back to any of my emails and just left me there $80 out of pocket.

I have emailed them about 20-30 times all emails have been ignored...funny because I have spent over thousands of dollars on equipment from that store and they treat me like this. I haven't bought from the store since and will never buy from Play-Asia...

Playasia Wrong region - useless game sent

I ordered the game Cars (Disney, Pixar) and one other game from Play-Asia for my son's XBox 360. They sent one game region free but they sent Cars for the East Asia region, even though I am in the middle east which uses the Europe region consoles. I complained to them and they said I would have to pay the postage costs plus a restocking fee plus they would cancel the coupon reduction used. In short they themselves admitted, "it will not be economical for you to return the game".

Cars (Disney, Pixar) on xbox 360 was already confirmed region free few years ago.
There is NOT even a region locked of this game exists.
Also, this game was only released in US and UK, no more. How could a " East Asia region " you found ?

probably you don't know,
Disney Interactive, the publsiher, did not even release any " Asian version " on xbox 360 at all.
Asian console gamers play the US version disc because its region free.

You looks like one of those ignorance putting complaints without getting more knowledge first, and never reply back ( running away after post ).

I've been waiting for 2 months and have sent 5 messsages to them and the only thing that they do is send me polite messages trying to apologise and saying that it is normal to take this long.
Play-Asia is not a safe site.

Haa?, your order actually come/arrive to you, I have ordered some PSP games 4 weeks ago, and use my credit card for the payment, but never receieve it 'till now. Owww man, This Play Asia really no good. I gonna spread the news, so no body gonna fell into their trap again.
