Received a call from this company after requesting to be placed on the Do Not Call list. The representative proceed to ignore the fact that I add said I was placed on the list and continued to argue his way to sending information about his company so that I would become a future customer. I asked him to update his records and he continued to try to discuss his company. He completely disregarded all attempts to disconnect the call and was incredibly rude. As if he thought he could change my mind that Paramount is a good business to work on my home. He needs to learn a thing or two about customer service. I will never work with Paramount and I will never refer anyone to this company based on this experience.

A rep came to our house for there spill on how great there company, product and services are, we got a quote for roofing, we have a 2400sq ft house he went on with the required spill we sat there and listened for 30mins, he goes outside does some measuring and looks at the roof comes back in writes down a couple of things on a piece of paper then he slides the paper to me with the estimate to do our roof, when I looked at the price I almost told him to get the hell out on the spot, my wife looked at the estimate and ask him are you serious! $20, 000 DOLLARS and he explained its a lifetime warranty blah, blah, blah! Mind you we received 3 more quotes from reputable companies and they were around the same price range $6, 000-8, 000 dollars! Then he proceeds to call his supervisor after we told him to leave and ask if he could bring the price down (salesman trick) then he said this supervisor said he could drop it to $13, 000 I said I am sorry please leave as I was laughing him out the door, I almost lost it! and I shut the door, and like everyone else they keep calling and asking if they can get another chance to earn our business! No you can't, how about not trying to rip people off the first time! I finally had to threaten them to stop harassing me.

Jan 19, 2016: Paramount Builders will not rectify the cheap doggie door they installed. The door is drafty and completely inefficient for energy purposes. I contacted their Virginia Beach office yesterday and they reported having no other complaints from anyone with one of their doggie doors. I am not asking for the entire door to be replaced by any means. I just requested some solution to the doggie door draft problem. They said they cannot do anything for us. I asked to be taken off their calling list.

I had my suspicions about this group, read these complaints before presentation was over. Got a obscene quote and asked him to leave! Heed the warnings get multiple quote on any contracting work. Don't sign a thing till you give it all the time needed to come to a informed decision .

They just got my wife and I, way over charged for roofing, we tried to cancel, no problem, just needed person to file paperwork and give us a full refund on down payment. Same salesman shows up, says too late to cancel, acted like he cared, started spouting off again how great the company was. Since we did business with them before, must have us on suckers list, NEVER again! Feel like we belong in Hall of Shame, cause they have none. Warn your neighbors, and relatives and friends, they'll thank you. Remember, it's Paramount Builders Inc, avoid at all costs...or it will cost you big time.

More follow up. If this happens to you, call the corporate office and ask them to not only put you on their DO BOT CALL list but to also place you on the DO NOT KNOCK list. Most importantly, request that your phone number be deleted from their computer files. If this does not do the trick, report to the FTC.

I forgot to mention that I am not located in Virginia Beach but Northern VA. In other words they treat the north with the same disrespect.

Wow how the internet reveals such simple truths. I have been going through the same hell for over 3 years. These sales people will call you at night even after you have called their HR department head (three years a row) requesting to be on their do not call list.
Last night the same salesman called me and started the conversation like we were old buddies. I paused first because the caller ID did not indicate it was Paramount Builders.
Then he goes into ramble going over our bad history on how we got off on the wrong foot and how he is taking a risk even calling me ( it implied to me that his notes in front of him said I was on the DO NOT CALL LIST). I called his manager and told her what happened and requested that she email me confirming that Paramount has it in their records that I am on their DO NOT CALL LIST. Her response: "we don't have access to email" . At that point I told her that as a way of avoiding my lawfirm contacting her company, I need that email. I did open a case file with my lawfirm. They advised me to contact the FTC.gov and submit a complaint.
Note: My reason for not wanting to deal with this home improvement company is because they have a policy that their salesperson will not give you an estimate unless both the husband and wife are home. Well my husband took a day off from work to be present for the estimate. We accepted the estimate. Unfortunately they were a no show on the day the job was to begin. Then they had the nerve to send a new sales person over to start the process again. They wouldn't accept the old estimate. So I was nice enough to give them another chance but once again my husband had to be home. I explained he was out of country on military duty. The guy said sorry this is our policy. I replied "sorry, I don't want your services then". Then for the next three years they came to my door and would not leave and take "no" for an answer. Each time I would call management and complain. I've reached my limit of patience. They will be reported.

Yes I agree with all the above, this company has infiltrated Gloucester now and beware they are totally outrageous and over priced. I turned them down cold as he tried to keep pushing. He would not leave the estimate (not professional written by hand)! WARNING TO ALL STEER CLEAR!

These dirtbags are exactly as described and have no morals or principles. Don't know the quality of their work, but they overcharge outrageously for their services. And I don't mean hundreds of dollars - I mean thousands of dollars. I hope that their reputation for deceitful and unprincipled behavior is catching up with them. Perhaps it is. The Virginian-Pilot newspaper had a large top front page story this Christmas season detailing how the company president gave $1 million dollars to company employees as bonuses. Smallest bonus was $10 thousand, I believe. Must have made a lot of money to be able to give away that much money. But - what a great PR stunt. Anyone reading that article probably thinks that these are the sweetest people around.

After a year and a half of hounding phone calls, I've decided to make it a personal mission to let the world know exactly what they can expect if they crack their door open to these folks. The sales folks can't take no or im not interested for an answer. They continue to call even if you have a polite conversation and explain to them that your house is 3 years old and the windows are fine. If you ask them to take you off the list, they continue to call you anyways. They are not professional and are kinda sleazy about how they pitch the product - think 2am infomericals.

So what am I doing about it...I started here on yahoo, and now I'm going to every site I can find with a forum to repeat this story. My neighborhood's HOA is online and I have already posted this story there. I'm getting a lot of thank yous so far. Of course there is the Better Business Bureau, and I will probably end there.

Now, if I'm going through all this to tell how bad my experience has been with this company, I hope and pray that you seriously consider what you're doing before picking up that phone or answering that door. You may never get rid of them.

Best of luck to you!
