1 United States Review updated:

My 6 year old came up to me tonight and asked "Are you having sex?" So I asked her where she heard that word and to my surprise she told me from a new Nickelodeon show. She heard it from the new "Victorious 411". Way to go Nickelodeon! I am completely disgusted that not only am I having to have a conversation with my 6 year old that I shouldn't at this age, but because it came from NICKELODEON! It's not like she was watching Soap Opera network or HBO! Thanks Nickelodeon!

What good is complaining about it here going to do?

Also, she has to learn sometime. Take it as a learning/teaching opportunity.

Your daughter could have found out about sex anyway. For all you know she could have had a nightmare and caught you guys in "midstroke"

Also why are you not replying. Did you guys lose the keys to the handcuffs. My guess is you had sex, you are one of those people thta like to be handcuffed during sex and you lost the keys to your handcuffs so you cannot type. Hope you find them soon because we want details. Was it good, was it bad, did you get lucky? What are you going to name your next child if your sex lead to pregnancy? Are you hoping for a boy or girl? Did you use protection?

I am not sure why everyone is attacking this woman! I feel the same way. I have a page on Facebook called "Nickelodeon is too mature for our kids!" http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nickelodeon-is-too-mature-for-our-kids/127606727272006 It's just starting out, but I'm hoping to see it go far.

Anyway, I support this mother in a) feeling like she can write this and vent/share her feelings; and b) feeling like Nickelodeon is not a children's network.

@Gracelikerain18 - So I visited your little Facebook group. I have a suggestion. If you're SOOOO offended by that Miranda Cosgrove song, why would you link to it so more people can see it? Makes no sense to me.

Oh for god's sake. Sex, sex, sex, sex, sex. There. I said it five whole times and it hasn't harmed your child. Get a grip.

for all of you people putting your two cents in about sex related things on childrens tv shows doesnt effect them i want to know where you have been for the last 10yrs. if you hadnt relized teen and child sex is at an all time high right now and if you think that the tv shows they watch has nothing to do with it you are clearly delusional. i have a niece that is 9 and i caught her kissing her own cousin. she watches tv shows like ICARLY and DEGRASSI which have no place on a childrens channel. if you dont have kids then you wouldnt get where people who have kids are coming from. i just seen a advertisment for "lip locking week" on NICK JR. these tv shows are upsetting to me because they are basically telling our children to go kiss any and everyone. someone needs to fix this problem i went to nickjr's website to complain and there was no where to submit a complaint. so i hope that someone from there company see's this and relizes the extent of there actions, i am going to email a news station and report them to get it out in the open the sad thing is that most parents dont even know what are on these so called
"kids tv shows". it needs to be addressed.

Bad parenting = promiscuous kids. Teach your kids some eff-ing values and stop plopping them down in front of the tv.

I am totally disgusted with Nick. The new Fred Movie is icing on the cake. One less 9 year old will be watching the Nick channel.

I just finished watching an episode of The new Fred movie, I'm am shocked and very angry that nick allows this type of program on a kids channel, you have this rated for kids but it appears to have adult content. I will be canceling my subscription to nickand possibly my satellite subscription.

You know, something needs to be done.. it is ashame and evident that those that are in control of the content on Nick do not care about children..it is disgusting..and if nobody does anything it will get worse.. I am going to start an issue about this on facebook;; email signatures, print them out and mail copies to Nick...if you want to be apart of the signatures..email me at angellistic2000@yahoo.com.
For God's word says that whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever is loosed on earth shall be loosed in heaven..Matthew 18:18...and I bind immoral content on childrens shows..In Jesus Name The Anointed One..Amen..To God be the Glory..take care all

    @kixstar

How big of an imbecile are you? this is a "COMPLAINT BOARD". It's for people like US, parents or not, to COMPLAIN about things we find inappropriate or ridiculous. Someone should start a complaint about you for being ignorant, and probably someone who would think of their 13 year old having sex as "well, he/she had to learn some time."

im disgusted how blazay some commenters are about child being used as sex objects strongly through media, in cartoons, in teen shows, its getting worse as well.
Sadly the only way to combat it is to give your kids an early sexual education as how God had intended it not how satan and demons do it and even our disobedient flesh does it.
Yes I am disturbed by it, as a parent and as a social worker who recieves burped up sexually abused children regularly,

In the past two years, I have seen the depictions of the following, on ICarly: Kidnapping, bullying, small children being used in a "sweatshop" setting, a teenager defying his parent and moving out, one man handcuffing another man and then spanking him (in front of children, no less), breaking and entering, theft and vandalism, and police officers being portrayed as corrupt, teachers as mean and vindictive. Keep in mind, if these were adults engaging in these activities on a comedy series, there would be an outcry from concerned parents. Somehow, parents seem to think it is okay because these are children. This show is really not fit for children to watch.

I totally agree and the people that are against this woman obviously (hopefully) have no kids. Or maybe they're pedophiles. Wouldn't surprise me, but as a mother of young children, I find ICarly, Victorious and esp. that Big Time Rush trash to be really vile and disgusting. Those shows and the commercials for them are being marketed to really young kids, and it's completely not right. It should be on a separate channel for teens. I mean young children enjoy watching tv occasionally just like adults, and they should be able to without being brainwashed into thinking that they should be all about sex and making out. And that seems to be a very common theme on the shows I just mentioned. I mean, yes, a 12 or 13 year old is going to be curious about sex, but 3 and 4 year olds don't need Nickelodeon rubbing sexual content in their faces on a regular basis. It's just ******* disgusting and I will definitely be dropping that channel.

OK, you guys do a good job with your show line up's .. but I was raised by you since 85" I fall asleep to cartoons. There's 4 tiers I'm gonna rate you on. 4 great, 3 good, 2 eh (so so) and 1 just drop the idea.. I'll tell you your cons first, Dudley puppy? What are you thinking? Same animation of fairy odd parents Danny phantom .. learn from "family guy" .. same animation, same let downs.. now, you have the penguins of madagascar.. ill rate that a 2 .. kung fu panda. Is a 1 just like Dudley puppy.. there's tons of ideas out there like "sponge Bob" you just have to find different animation types.. I know you guys are testing audiences. But some shouldn't even be on the boards.. It's killing your viewers.

I was watching Sponge Bob with my five year old I am so happy I was listening. I normally never let her watch Nickelodeon let alone Sponge Bob but I did on the occasion. The cartoon was so vile! The crab was telling sponge bob and his friend that they were "lame, stupid, and babies" because they weren’t doing anything fun. When the Patrick guy suggests that they go on a "pantie raid"! That’s right! Just went I thought I heard it wrong the Crab states that he would stick around for this and go "steal girl’s underwear". Mmmmm…. Who wants to let their child watch that!?

I completely agree with the complaint and im a single father! I would never let my kids watch ICarly or that incredibly stupid Fred, I personally dont need to have my sons sitting there and watching "individuals" farting, belching, and just being plain rude! I tech my sons a strong moral foundation and for those who are attacking this woman, I hope you do not have to face the reality of your son being a father at 16 or your daughter being knocked up at 14! Look at the kind of examples our children have to aspire to anymore, the likes of ICarly? whose friends are about one step short of babbling infants? Or Victorious whose various "friends" might as well just throw their clothes off and just make out right on the stage!

People often complain about the decay of our society and the lack of manners and morals for our children, but look at some of the responses to this woman's complaint? "did she really have sex" I hope whoever answers like that doesnt breed, we dont need your spawn running around in our restaurants or in the grocery stores making our lives miserable. As for the ones who sincerely are concerned about their children and their behavior, I can commend their dedication to wanting to end Nickelodeon and other networks blatant sexualization and dehumanizing of our youth. As for the ones who say "oh your kid will learn it anyways" really? sadly the one's who do learn early are often condemned to a life of poverty and misery. Would that be what you want for your own children? if that's your choice, its your choice, but dont blame this woman or others for standing up to what has obviously become a troubling problem in our quest for information.
