Loblaws, Walmart, Sobeys/Safeway, (All Stores) review: coupon redeeming 1

The stores here has a policy that if the product price whether on sale or not is less than the value printed on the coupon, they will only give you the price amount and not the coupon amount. For example, if the price of a small pack of individual servings of coffee is 75 cents and you redeem a coupon printed $1 on it, they will only give you 75 cents. Isn't this considered fraud? I don't see them crossing out the $1 and writing 75 cents on the coupon. When they send the coupon in for redemption, they're getting $1 and not 75 cents plus a handling fee.

No it's not fraud. When stores send it in they show proof of what it was sold for... it's not like they just send in 50 coupons and the company takes their word that they sold 50 items. They sell 50 items and have a listing of what it was sold for sent in with the coupons. Why don't you look up how coupons work? Why would they give you $1 credit if the item was only sold for .50 cents?
