Lauraldale's Siberians review: extreme behavioral problems with puppy - and he's not the only one. 1

Purchased an 8 month old puppy from Laura in March of 2017, and despite me specifically asking his socialization (and her saying he was well-socialized), this dog is TERRIFIED of humans (men in particular, the larger/taller ones tend to be way more scary)... I mean absolutely TERRIFIED. We figured it was just the adjustment to a new home that was causing the issue; it definitely is not; thankfully he's come to absolutely love my husband (who isn't tall at all, which may have made a difference). Come to find out he never once left her house in the 8 months she had him - and we're questioning whether or not he left his run. Apparently socialization during the most critical period of their lives means only other dogs to her. ALSO come to find out, speaking with several other owners of her dogs, they too, are terrified of humans (also large/tall men in particular), LOVE kids, and are generally ok with women or warms up to them faster. Makes you wonder...

When we went to pick him up, she barely said two words to us, and our puppy was absolutely disgusting - reeked of urine (despite supposedly "just getting a bath that morning"), his coat was matted, tail and hind end were chewed to bits likely due to lack of mental/physical stimulation, and it took us giving him THREE thorough double-shampoo baths over the first few days to get the water to not be dark brown each bath. Finally on the third bath, second shampoo, no more dirt/urine/feces/who knows what was coming off. A few of the other owners we spoke to also had some "sickly" or dirty puppy concerns when they picked up their dogs.

She also knew my intentions with him - mushing, CGC, CGA, well-rounded dog to be able to go anywhere with us & our other two huskies, and had hoped to have the option of competitive agility or obedience - and due to his severe behavioral problems, I'm unable to complete these with him in the time frame I had hoped... if ever. We've already put hundreds of dollars into trying to get him some help in addition to myself doing loads of training with him, and have only seen very minimal progress with his fear. We have tried to contact Laura endless times both to discuss the issues we having but to also request a partial refund as I would NEVER send this dog back to the situation he came from, but want compensation for the excessive training he is needing which may or may not even make a difference, but she seems to be completely avoiding us at all costs. I've tried e-mailing, calling, messaging, with zero attempt at a reply. Guessing she doesn't want to bother with anything negative - we had heard "good" reviews from other people about her dogs when we were in the process of buying this pup from her. No one will say anything truthful unless I approach them individually with questions on their experience with her in which the truth then comes out. So here's the utter truth.
Do NOT buy from her; save your money for an ACTUAL reputable breeder who will give you a healthy, friendly dog.
