When I called customer support after Eastlink's Motorola DCX770 TV Box quit working after thunder or lightning, she admitted to me that Eastlink has a real issue with that model of box being so sensitive it continuously trips at the slightest bit of thunder or lightning andf that they are continuously sending techs to the home to reset them, only after inconveniencing their customers for days until they can get there. She advised me that she has made an appointment for tech to bring to my house and install a DCX3400 with a DVR but will not activate the DVR portion, and this model of box does not have the issue that plagues Eastlink customers. Today, the tech came to my house and denied that Eastlink has a problem that continues to inconvenience it's customers and would not install the other model as promised to me. This same service tech would not install my Motorola boxes brought from my former city on my initial setup one month ago, because he told me that it wouldn't work and wanted to rent me them at $10-$15 each/month. I told him that 8 Eastlink employees all told me that these boxes are compatible with Eastlink services. After complaining and threatening to take my complaints to social media, he was forced to come back and hook up my boxes and they do work.
