On 7/16/08 I stopped in Isleta to top of tank. I filled up in Las Cruces (car was empty and took 11.856 gallons to fill)and was on my way to Santa Fe. I had a 1/4 tank when In exited the highway. I put in my credit card and went into the store to wash up and when I came out the pump had failed to stop pumping and was spewing gas all over the car and down the street(it had pumped13.106 gallons) I went inside to tell the attendant working and she said there was nothing she could do because there was no manager. I tried calling the station on Monday July 21, 2008 and all I got was this loud fax sound coming from the phone. I am a loyal Chevron customer and spend copious amounts of money on gas for my Acura Rsx and Mazda 3000, because we do a lot of traveling. I have never had a pump fail to stop when the tank reached full. Thank you for your time in the consideration of this matter.

Last week, I also put the gas pump into my tank at Chevron here in Puyallup Washington, and i went in for chips and a coke. A guy came into the store and told us that gas was coming out of my car. I ran and immediately turned the pump off. Fortunately, nobody was injured and the gas did not ignite. Instead of refunding me the spent gas, the owner had the nerve to call my insurance company and say that it was my fault. The rubber rapper around the gas pump seems smaller than most pumps. There are no signs staying to stay with the pump when pumping. I also have never had a pump before that didn't turn off when the tank was full.
