I was sold a very sick Devon Rex kitten from Hellen, who knew the kitten was ill. First off we received our kitten 4 weeks later then the promise date. Stated the kitten was underweight. Well she neglected to mention the infection covering her entire left eye. She did send creams, eye drops, and lysine when we got her. She said she " Hurt her eye somehow " well since we were not told the truth our kitten went down hill from there. Fevers, weight loss, terrible eye infections, in and out of emergency rooms and vet office's. We finally after a thousand dollars in testing and vet bill found out she had HERPES! ...Well needless to say Hellen will not try and work this out at all..she blew me off and no longer takes my calls after sending her the test results.Positive for feline hepes virus! She said it's my problem. ..FYI I called her all along telling her to please help me. She always seemed as though I was bothering her even when my kitten was close to death..since it got in her respiratory system and she ran a very high fever wouldn't eat weight loss. Hellen should be ashamed of herself. Be aware she is not a great breeder! Also my kitten is not registered as stated in contract with any organizations not sure she's even a devon...
Hellen you told us it was a eye injury. Not HERPES!
and yes she was a beautiful kitten, all devons are beautiful! But she needs medical attention constantly! Notice all comments from my daughter are at the vet! Thats where we live since purchasing our kitten from HELLEN! ALSO the positive test result and photos dont lie . People your come to your own conclusion. Even now when my medical bills are rediculas ( 1, 600.00 in 9 months ) you still choose to be mean and rude as well as dishonest. Well Attention public! I have not been able to come up with one positive comment for adoraevlves since 2013 check it out yourself! Wonder why that is?

Hellen you sold us a sick kitten. You should of tryed to come to some agreement. Not offering me a young breeder. I have 2 cays with herpes now since it's very contagious and didn't find out it was herpes until months later.i didn't want that young breeder getting sick as well.
Say what you want. I try ed everything to resolve this as adult's. Even the BBB you wouldn't coporate at all. Just put the blame on everyone ealse. My vet lied...I lied..Andrea lied..and your heartless reply when I begged you to tell me how to help my kitten...I WORRY TO MUCH!

Adoraelves was a big disappointment. Our first kitten from this breeder has grown hair from day one, though we love him so. Our second experience was a nightmare. After driving a long ways to pick up our kitten, she tried to sell us a different one and said that the pictures must have been messed up because the one we had reserved was already sold to another breeder. Very heartbreaking.We had numerous emails back and forth confirming the kitten we would be receiving on top of signing a contract and putting down a payment. Deal with someone more professional who also has a clean line of sphynx kittens if you ask me. Though we received a refund, it was awful to be so let down and to have to deal with such a mess.
Complaint
I purchased one Mink Seal Point male kitten and one blue eyed white male Devon Rex kitten on 10/22/2014 by paying $375 deposit for each kitten. The breeder stated that part of the service in purchasing kittens from her is updates periodically during the time the kittens are purchased up to the time they are ready to go to their new homes. I requested a current pic of the Sphynx as the picture on her website was of the kitten at a few weeks old and it was currently 7.5 weeks. Helen stated that she "would bring the camera in and fire it up". It is now Nov 12, 2014 and I have not received any pictures yet but there are new pics on her website of new kittens available. I am unable to reach her by phone, she does not return my messages. According to one of her early emails the Sphynx kitten is ready to go to his new home this week. She has not provided the services offered and I am not willing to pay $1250 for the Sphynx and $975 for the Devon Rex kitten without being able to see them. I would like a refund of the two deposits for a total of $750. I have all emails available.

Athena is having but yet another herpes break out. Time to go back to the vet again unless this is normal...

For someone who is so great you sure are going overboard trying to convince people! I challenge you to post my papers of my two herpesvirus infected kittens I bought from you that you could not and did not provide Hellen! You vet is a personal friend client and provider of care for each kitten you sell ! He released these two kittens as healthy but refused to release any reports on my kittens health records! Seems weird no?

Thank you, and I’m sorry for your situation as well! We love them like children, it’s a tough situation to have to put out all this money on vet bills, for a cat, but I wouldn’t have not done it, I loved my kitten very much. I just wish I would have came across this page/feed before I had purchased from her. Not to knock her or talk bad about her, but I just want people to be informed and take their kittens to be checked right away for these viruses even if they do decide to buy from her.
My post is only to list the facts of my situation and it hopefully give information so you can make an informed decision. And I want to first state how Helen was always pleasant to speak with and always responded in a timely manor, gave me advice all the way until the end. We also settled with a refund of my kitten after his death.
I purchase a beautiful sphynx kitten from Mrs. Fradelakis June 9, 2018. A week later he had diarrhea. I followed her directions and fed him everything she said except trying to switch to a better dry food, the diarrhea got so bad I had to take him to a vet, vet said to stop goats milk (which Helen highly recommended) and give more dry food, less wet. he temporarily got better but then his testicles started to swell. Then fevers, no appetite, and many vet visits later he was admitted to a Vet for a week. There they sent a special blood test that came back positive for coronavirus. This is a virus spread from cat feces, only cat to cat. I do not have any other pets at all. The veterinarian highly suggested this came from the breeder, it’s a virus that is high is breeded cats and catteries. And the only thing I could do was take him home and hope he gets better, that the virus may or may not mutate into something called FIP. Not even a week later he passed away. The vet told me the coronavirus can mutate into something called FIP which will eventually kill a cat and it would be fast most likely. Kittens and older cat, like humans, have weaker immune systems. The first sign of the Coronavirus is diarrhea. The vet also said having swollen testicles is one of the very end symptoms of FIP, which he didn’t seem to have because his belly wasn’t swollen. Helen and I over text conversation did not do a biopsy that would have given a definitive answer to what he had that killed him. I had already spent $2000 in vet bills, and now a kitten that I also spent money on is dead, why would I need to purchase more. She agreed. My suggestion if you purchase a cat from her cattery is that you take them directly to A vet to have this special PRC Blood work done to check for these viruses.
Sorry to hear about your loss, I still have Athena who is in and out of the vet with her herpes eyes. Even paid to have surgery done on her left eye, but it didn’t help. She has blocked tear ducks which makes having herpes even worse. But I will take care of her as long as long as she’s still with me . But people beware I now have a Devon Rex that has costed me well over 5 k in vet bills! I would let any purchase anything from this greedy back yard breeder!
Hey Helen! Just wanted to check in and say thank you again! Me and Lydia are so happy! I have never been so close to any animal! I love her so much she is truly the light of my life! I could never say thank you enough! I just wanted to send you some pictures so you can see your baby and let you know she is a huge ball of fun! I do not know exactly how you raise your babies but i can tell you this cat is so well tempered and so lovable! She gets along with my other babies but most important she is attatched to me at the hip literally i love it! We have been having some problems lately with her stealing things of mine and hiding them! I have been late to work over 3 times! because she takes my car keys and puts them under the blanket and then lays on top of them! Its so cute! I also caught her taking all my eyes shadow and putting it in the toilet! AND all my socks went missing and i had to buy new ones...i later found her dragging them behind the couch and when i looked she had a whole collection! I am not sure why she does those things! But i think they are so adorable! I cannot say thank you enough Helen i love her so much!

Kathy and I have taken the time to really check out a lot of kittens and a lot of different catteries. It was very important to us that we made good decisions regarding which breed to choose, which breeder to work with, and which individual kitten to buy. I think most Sphynx breeders are capable and very dedicated. Very few are in it for the money. However, we did run into a few situations that made us a bit weary and disappointed. After having a nice telephone conversation with each breeder who had kittens for sale, we would then drive long distances and arrive at some catteries only to find kittens that had way too much fuzz, or were cross-eyed, or had a different major physical flaw, or seemed a bit sickly. One breeder was not very friendly when we visited her cattery and just wanted to ask her some questions. One breeder would not even let us come to her cattery to meet the cat she had for sale. She said she was too busy with her everyday life to have visitors. She wanted us to buy her cat over the phone, sight unseen.Kathy and I really feel that you are the best and stand out amongst your fellow breeders. You are friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. You are a hard working person with wonderful quality Sphynx cats. Your "pet quality" kittens exceed most other breeder's "show quality" kittens. Your prices are fair and reasonable. Your cattery is neat and clean. The cats have a friendly, safe, and healthy environment in which to live and play. We learned a lot from you and appreciate your friendship. Thank you for doing such a quality, professional job and thank you for our two new wonderful Sphynx kittens, Myca and Mortimer(rkkraus)

It's funny how I had all the time in the world to stalk you before I
got Ganji but now it's been months and I can't find the time to email.
I was so worried about buying a kitten from anywhere (you included),
I've read so many horror stories... The first thing I did was take her
to a vet. Not only did she steal their hearts she got a perfect bill
of health, weight, size, responsiveness, muscle tone was exactly as it
should be. Thank you so much for the hard work and the new priceless
addition to our family. She settled right in and quickly claimed the
space as hers! We've bought her count less toys but her favorite is bottle caps. I couldn't be more grateful.

So your own vet is lying on your report that Athena has no health issues and gave a series of vacations including rabies all at the someday. And when I offered at my own expense to have a cat in your position for a year a full exam you refused. A kitten that had complete medical done including bloodwork fical test heart etc all neg If you really care why not bring her back and let me help her. NO you just want $8000.00 dollars. Yes let people see what you are asking for and see that you refused every suggestion and free vet exam after owning a cat for a year. Who would even do that NO BREEDER would.

I have bought 3 kittens from Helen 1 Devon and 2 sphynx all heathy and very active...I have been to Helens Cattery on several different occasions and some that were unannounced. Helen's Cattery Is immaculate at all times and all the cats have been healthy no problems with the eyes or any other health issues. Her cats are not kept in cages and are roaming free. And steal the attention of anyone who will pet and play with them. My cats are very active and constantly playing and very sociable with people that come in my home. I will continue to recommend her Cattery since i have see the quality of cats she has. And have brought such joy to my family.
Athena's vet report showing no health issues
I have bought 4 cats from helen all very healthy and Happy. They run and play constantly and will seek anyones attention that will pet them. Her Cattery is immaculate and I have gone there unannounced several times visiting my baby. None of her cats are in cages and all socialized. They all looked healthy clear eyes and all playing. I highly recommend this Cattery to anyone. And will continue to do business with her.
Anna Luba is a scammer as her daughter Andrea Luba has been texting positive posts and comments and beautiful photos of the purebred Devon Rex calico and six months later brought another Devon Rex kittens. Never complained about the health of either kitten in fact texted how at vets office they were passing the kitten around and taking photos
AFTER a year Anna Luba post false claims but after investing issue it came to light that kitten got injury by a cat attached.

I know she's so pretty. When we took her to the vet everyone came in and wanted to hold and look at her. I wish I had discovered this breed a long time ago. My mom has fallen in love with her too and we wanted to get her a friend to play with!

Just wanted to let you know that the kitten, known from this point on as "George Harrison" (we are big fans of the quiet Beatle) has arrived in his new home in New Jersey, safe and sound. HE IS SO FUN! We had heard that all kittens were always shy and stressed but he jumped out of his travel cage almost immediately and began to play, used his litter box like a good boy, and then passed out on my lap, and then Jacob's shoulder for a good hour. He is currently giving Jacob some tips on kitten proofing some things that he missed. We absolutely adore this little guy and are so impressed with his intelligence already! This is just a note to let you know we are crazy about Martin Bentley Griffin! He is already spoiled rotten and has our two dogs on the run! He is so much fun to watch and love. He takes naps with me and chews my toes...he is fitting in just fine...even after missing his connecting flight in Atlanta! We'll send more pics of him as he grows and as his color continues to change. He is beautiful and I love his funny face.
