This company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. When i couldn't contact the company by phone on saturday or sunday as they only operate monday to friday i sent them three emails on their 'contact us' address informing them that i did not want their 12 month subscription attached to the 'free' trial. But after finally getting through to them i have been told my three day cooling off period finished yesterday and as they have no communication from me they couldn't cancel the order. The money has come out of my account before the three day cooling off period finished and now i'm being told that i can't get a refund! I have copies of my emails date and time sent but apparently this isn't COMMUNICATION?

I purchased an Acai get slim package on 28/01/2011 for what I believed was going to be $7.19 (that is what my invoice stated). I had a total of $59.34 debited from my credit card. I have not received my goods and cannot get any answers. The email address attached to my invoice to contact the business does not work, emails bounce back to me.

Hi, when I realised that this company had scammed me for £65.00, I thought I was the only person. My teenager told me 'you should always read the terms and conditions' and for me to enter 'Get Slim Package scam' into the search bar. Boy was I shocked, how the hell do these people get away with this. Credit Card companies don't help, mine told me - even if I cancel my credit card this wouldn't stop this company applying for payments. So I called [protected] played heck with this customer service advisor and told her I thought I was only paying shipping charges for the free Acai Capsules, but she kept on repeating over and over ' that I was not paying for the product, I was paying for the Digital/ Diet Tracker plan and the charges/cancellation period (3 days) are stated in the terms and conditions' I think she was on auto pilot. When I told her I wanted to complain and who to write to, she said I would have to email legal@getslimpackage.com - emailed them several times, still waiting for a reply.

I got in touch with my 'credit card dispute payments department' and they advised me that they couldn't do anything about the payment already taken but if Better Health (ENERGY SHOP) were to apply for another payment that I should get back in touch with them and then they will dispute the payment. What a load of crap, I've been with this bank for nearly 14 years.

After reading most of the complaints here, I just rang Better Health again. Got through to 'Randy' I told her that I wasn't happy with the whole scam and to confirm that my ' Get Slim Package' had been cancelled. Randy advised me that they don't send confirmation emails but she can give me a cancellation code. So I took the cancellation code and' she' advised me that it has been cancelled and there would be no further charges made. telephone [protected] from uk)

This will do for me, though it's not quite 30 days since the first payment was taken so I might be back here again.

I can't believe that at the ripe old age of 41 I could be scammed like this. Hope you guys have better luck and get your money back. I totally understand how you must be feeling, I feel 51 right now.

I also got stung by these robbing B******S. I bought something for what i thought was £6.00 only to get fleeced for £126.37 and a week later another £62.00. Who reads the small print on theses things. All it has done is stoped me buying stuff on the internet. We live and learn.

Louise,

You should have acted sooner than this, its never too late to contact your card issuer or bank, get your card blocked, get a new card with new 16 digit number or its simple to cancel a direct debit if paid from bank account, call your bank, tell then who you are paying cancel direct debit, easy as that!, so no more payments are taken, or they will continue doing the same later, $627 is a lot to lose, but you can get it back, be polite to your bank.

Hope this help, good luck.

I live in Australia and was conned late last year, I was unable to contact company because of time zone difference and the cost of the call, couldn, t send an email as it bounced back, they took out 4 payments alltogether to the value of $ 440, we thought it was all over then last week, 5 months later they have taken 2 payments out on the same day for $93.50 each.Testing the waters I supposed to see if we cancelled direct debit, which we hadn't, we will now though, definatly a scam.

I have drafted an email to this company today on the advice of my credit card company the details of which are below. I hope this helps anyone who has not yet contacted the company:-
Email sent to: support@getslimpackage.com, legal@trytadalafil.com
Dear Sir,

Reference 237709 Date 30/01/11 - SUSAN RIDOUT

I placed the above order via the internet on 30 January, 2011. That order authorised you to debit $2.95 x 2 (i.e. a total of $5.90) to my credit card.

On receipt of my credit card statement it has come to my attention that you have actually taken 6 x unauthorised payments quoting the reference BETTER HEALTH [protected] as follows:-

31/01/11 $99.95 @ 1.[protected] £64.68
31/01/11 $4.65 @ 1.[protected] £ 3.01
31/01/11 $99.95 @ 1.[protected] £64.68
31/01/11 $4.65 @ 1.[protected] £ 3.01
05/03/11 $99.95 @ 1.[protected] £63.39
05/03/11 $99.95 @ 1.[protected] £63.39

You have 7 days from the date of this email to refund the total monies taken back to my card to avoid further action being taken to recover this debt.

My credit card company have been advised of the situation & assure me that they will take up the case on my behalf should you fail to make the refund.

Your urgent response is required.

Regards
Susan Ridout

N.B. I have attempted to call your Customer Service Department on several occasions on the telephone number quoted on your website (i.e. [protected]) but the number is unobtainable.

Guess what? I received an email this morning from support@sharkilage.com saying in the interest of goodwill they have issued me a full refund which should appear on my card within 30 days. I pulled no punches when I wrote to these people.I demanded a full refund otherwise I was going to get my lawyer and the media involved with this scam.My email was short and to the point and it worked...well, at least I think it worked.I guess that's the way you have to treat this company...with threats of legal and media attention...good luck everyone...I hope you all get your money back. And I must say I did receive an answer back from support@flexnjoint.com and they said there was nothing they could do because I had electronically signed for the deal(NOT TRUE).

One question I would ask before I go any further with my story is does TheLoveFist III work for this company? He/she has been commenting on this issue for over 77 days..one wonders why he has such an interest if he was not scammed himself?
I too have been scammed but have only just realised it from almost doing the same thing again re gettting rid of wrinkles..just happened to glance at terms and realised I was authorising them to take a standing order from my card. On checking back on my online credit card statements I find I have suffered the Acai scam & quite a lot of money has been debited to my credit card. The problem is that I didn't check at the time so it may be too late to notify my card company to get a refund..I feel completely stupid!
Oh hell! My husband is going to go balistic..perhaps it's best I try to sort this out and then tell him what has happened afterwards...
Thanks to all those people who have provided contact tel. numbers; emails; addresses for this ### company..I will get onto it first thing in the morning to try to do some damage limitation.

Yolander, you are cancelling your order in the wrong place, if you don't cancel in the right place, those orders will continue to arrive, and they will take more money, do what everyone here has done and put a stop on your credit card, want to know more read the posts!

OH by the way, I never did recieve the Colon package!

Most of the time they don't bother to sent, speak to you bank and be polite, they will listen, tell them what happened, keep all emails/ receipts etc, they should send you a disclaimer form for you to return with paperwork, you should get your money back as a chargeback.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

Count me in, as being duped! Just talked to someone there and what I was told was "You were not charged for the product, you were charged for the downloadable information package!"
They said there is no recourse and could not have my money back as I did not read the "FINE PRINT"

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!
I had authorized payment for $6.95 for each product. I recieved receipts for those sums. But when checking my MC account, found that I had also been charged $91.00 twice.
OH by the way, I never did recieve the Colon package!

i do not advise anybody to kick off in bank thought i was gonna get arrested today.

Its not your banks fault as they are only following your instructions, and cancelling your card will not stop the transactions agreed by you, the card can be blocked, you get a new card, with new 16 digit number will stop them.

would just like to update it as been 4 weeks since i got sucked into this bloody scam, i canceled my debit card and was told by the bank there was no way they could get anymore money from my account, which i stupidly belived.Yesterday i went to the bank to find i was severly overdrawn!this company has taken yet more money from my account, the bank are refusing to give me any money back so have had to close my account and basically told bank they can kiss my ### for overdraft back.Be warned canceling your card does NOT mean they cannot withdraw from your account! P.S i do not advise anybody to kick off in bank thought i was gonna get arrested today.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS COMPANY?>
I too was pulled in by this company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. I cancelled online, and tried to call several times and months later they are still sending the product and charging my account. After finally getting through to them by phone [protected], and directed to put in my order number by automation, (there are several: 181039-7; SO3 STD I was told that my account can not be found. Yet I am stilling receiving orders, the lastest today, 4/18/2011.

I dont know why you idiots are still talking about terms and conditions, let alone reading them.

Do you find them boring to read, I do, its the small print I bet, but they do need reading first, as if you had read them, you would not be here complaining today, but like you said they are well organised, through out the world for some year's now.

Actually @TheLoveFist II, that was probably a big ask (finding something constructive to say), sorry, I've just had a random browse through most of your 900 posts and you are a wind up merchant. I dont know why you idiots are still talking about terms and conditions, let alone reading them. Didn't I make it clear to you that this is a scam and that reading terms and conditions or otherwise still results in being ripped off? You cannot get in touch with the company, they do not respect cooling off days, they abuse credit card details an debit card details by passing on to other fraudelent companies (that one didn't sign up for) AND, I hope you hear this bit, they are known to the fraud squad. Doesn't this make your argument about reading terms and conditions ridiculous?

I don't somehow think that my cc company would refund me if they didn't think the super acai scam stank do you? Find something constructive to say please...

Like many people here I got ripped off to the tune of £150 but fortunately I cancelled my Nationwide visa credit card and got the money refunded by the same. The super açai scam is well known to visa fraud and I was told they operate a complex web; you try cancelling payments with one company but then payments continue to be deducted by others.
Keep all records of transactions including phone calls, emails, dates, and cancel your credit card immediately. Contact your cc provider who hopefully, like nationwide, will reimburse you.

I would like to know why I am here also.

Hi Cel, Why are you here?

Thats just it, thats why the problem happened.
(not reading the boring small print first)

You see, my mother has learnt a lesson and will not buy in future without reading the terms first, or using a debit card unless the seller is known to her, you see, the problem was that she is 85 years old and at that age you get confused.

but in future she now know's what to do, do your research first.

So why are you here then?

Would like to ask you the same question?

My mother was the one that thought ordering something that would only cost her $ 2.95 for postage was a bargain, and not realising that there was a subscirption attached to an agreement, then suddenly seeing a sizable sum of money disapearing from her bank account, and being stupid enough to use a debit instead of a credit card, and for not reading the terms and conditions.

But fortunately with some help the bank was able to chargeback on payments taken/sent and the funds were returned to her account.

Listen, I get that you find them boring to read. I really do. I think they're boring to read as well. However, what these say is what you, the signee, have agreed to and are all that really matter to resolving your dispute.

I do agree with you on your statement, but I don't have a dispute with them as I did not buy any of those stupid berries as you can buy these from the stores in town anyway.
