This company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. When i couldn't contact the company by phone on saturday or sunday as they only operate monday to friday i sent them three emails on their 'contact us' address informing them that i did not want their 12 month subscription attached to the 'free' trial. But after finally getting through to them i have been told my three day cooling off period finished yesterday and as they have no communication from me they couldn't cancel the order. The money has come out of my account before the three day cooling off period finished and now i'm being told that i can't get a refund! I have copies of my emails date and time sent but apparently this isn't COMMUNICATION?
My wife has had a very similar experience recently. Healthbenefits company has offered a 3 day trial for their Acai berry and cleanse product. The 3 day trial apparently starts that day. It's been more than a 8 days and no product but we did get hit with a $200. Charge on our checking account. The company said too bad, it's beyond our 3 day free trial period? What trial I asked? No answer. They just kept saying it's a legal binding contract you entered into. This is a total scam. Don't order any Acai berry online. Just go to the local health food store. Sad world we live in.
Another sucker here it costs me £140 quid.. BETTER HEALTH IS A RIP OF MERCHANT I.E.

thiefs!
Yes we have all been taken for a dam ride with them shower of thiefs, I know we all do silly things, and fall into the trap.thinking we can get things cheap, but it the end it cost us.Ill never get anything again on line like that, ive learned my lesson, I also feel sso sorry about all the other people they have conned, I know how they must be feeling, because it makes you feel so sick inside to think that people can do this kind of thing, What kind of world are we living in here? Take care everyone, please keep me updated, Patricia.xx
These poeple take no prisoner's, they take your money as quick as they can, you can get your money back, read previous posts, get your card cancelled get your bank to charge back, don't forget that you have got a subscription with them now, so cancel this, you have a right to cancel, before you see some more money taken.
Good luck.
Hi there.just to keep you updated on how ive got on with Natwest bank today, was there for over a hour, trying to sort this cash back out of this scam which has been going on for around 8weeks now, they are now telling me that i have to ring the USA up once again to claim my money back, but every time i ring it costs me money again, and i never get to speak to anyone, Now the bank are telling me that its not there problem anymore, so can anyone tell me where to go next, im so upset about this. They have also said on lots of occations they have got the money back for scams before, but they are refusing to get mine back for me.
Hi Patricia,
Its not your banks fault as they were only following your instructions, did you use a debit card instead of a credi card, that may be the problem, get the card cancelled, they will send a new card with a new 16 digit number, cancel the subscription, so no more money is taken, call your bank and try to reason with them, they can return your payments as you have been misled by them, they should them send you a disclaimer form to sign and ask you to return this together with any emails and documents to them and you together with date or time stamp on them, you should get the money back, don't give up with the bank, but be polite and they should listen, hope this helps
Give it another try, read the previous posts here, and when ringing them use Skype it a free call [protected] or [protected]
thank you guys, i was just about to order for mind.i really appreciate your effort sharing and i'm sorry for the misfortune chenkam@yahoo.com
Hi Cathy,
You were lucky enough to check this out before you ordered, well done.
i cant believe i have fallen for this, how stupid, i never buy anything on line. They have taken 255.00 from my account and i am now waiting to see if Lloyds can do anything. Will close down account and pray something horrible happens to those responsible.
Sandra.please get onto your bank, and get all cards cancelled at once, I know how you must be feeling because Ive had the same thing done to me, im still waiting to get my money back from natwest.we have all fallen into this trap you are not on your own.you only have to read on here about all the scams.we are all victims.and the people who are doing this are making lots of money.
I also agreed to a free trail and have been debited £260!this is money i dont have, the bank have told me basically its my own fault for giving out my debit card details.I have printed 2 emails confirming the total amount of £2.95 which i agreed to, surely there has got to be something i can do to claim my money back?
ive been reading everybodys comments on here and everybodys saying you gotta cancel your subscription with the company?everything i have for this stupid company is false, spent 2 full days trying to contact somebody and cant.Have canceled my card with bank does this stop them from getting anymore money?bank said it would but after reading some of these comments im not so sure. Can anyone please help me?
thishas happend to me to im in the uk iv payed the £2.95 .and there still tacking money out of my bank i ent sind up to any think . iv cancled me bank but have no number to ring them to camplaine can any one help please
Hello Wendy im also in the uk, I have tryed to ring them on several occations but im only getting the answer machines.if you want to email me plz my email id is sallyann130@yahoo.co.uk also its giving time of the opening hours but they are never there, Regards patrica, ill wait your email then maybe we can chat about this.
I have been scammed too, i have an invoice for the amount they are suppose to take of £2.60 but they are actually taking £124.80, i have contacted my bank and they said they can't cancel the transaction i just have to wait till the money goes and then try and get it back. The web address for the scammers is www.ehelpcentral.com anyone gone through these? They have a uk number on there which i can't get anyone and the email is false. I asked about cancelling my card but the woman said it would be pointless as they can still take the money. Will be clearing out my account tomorrow so they can't get anymore and then cancelling the card.
I, too, was scammed by them. It serves me right in a way for not reading the whole agreement and for signing up when very late at night when I was tired. I did manage to cancel before the next $199.00 was charged to me. It is now over seven weeks, and I have yet to receive my so-called free samples. I have phoned the company three times about this, and each time I get the same answer -- it has been shipped but must be in customs. Last week when I phoned, the representative was snippy and bordered on being rude. Also, don't get sucked into their promo999.com deal where you can order more supplements. Emails come back as undeliverable and their site never wants to load. Grrrrr.
get slim by riding a bike, not from a berry. you're the idiots that have kept the companies in business by not paying attention. the shame should be smeared all over your fat ###.
reply to above comment you can kiss our fat ###!u got nowt good to say then dont frickin say it
look here dumb boy.keep your dam comments to your self. no one asked for your advise. 1 day something is going to happend to you. and then see how it feels little know, now get your self a life, and stay on you pram, that goes for all of us on here, goodbye small minded idiot.
well said Kedoff he.s nothing but an idiot of the highest order, , He wants to get back in his pram, , lol
too rite n put dummy back in while he at it pmsl x
Okay to start with I wasn't scammed by the business. I do know what it's like to be overweight. I used to be the perfect size for my body type until I hurt my back. over the past ten years I've gained a little over a hundred pounds. Since my back is what's messed up it's hard to do exercises so I'm always looking for something to help. So I do understand why you bought the product. At the same time, although not the proper way to state it, the comment on the previous page is accurate. Don't rely on some magic berry to help slim you down. Even if you only take half an hour a day to go for a walk and more importantly watch what you eat then the overweight problem will get better. My suggestion is not to order anything off of any website that hasn't been around for a good period of time. If you want to try the acai berry there are health stores and even some products at places like Walmart that have the berry in them. I'm sorry you guys got scammed, but I hope that in the future you rethink both your buying habits as well as your living/health habits.
Thankyou for that comment wanderess, im sure we all forgive your little out burt before, and we will all learn now from our mistakes, you know the saying once bitten twice shy, , lol..have a good day, .
I'm sorry, but I don't understand. What little out burst (I'm assuming burt was a typo for burst) are you referring to?
Yes you have corrected my spelling, , , lol..Have a nice Day, xx
I feel a fool as i have been pulled into this scam, it looked very genuine and i wish i had researched into it more, as within 10 minutes of placing the order for my £2.95 trial they had tried to take £500 plus from my credit card but thankfully the fraud protection team for my credit card rang to confirm if it was me, a company called pausepain in cyprus had managed to take £123.50 so far. They blocked any more payments to them and are in the process of sorting it out for me so hopefully i will get my money back. Hope everyone can get some sort of resolve and the that this scam gets shut down. Good luck Vicky x
Vicky,
Also you may not be aware of this, but You also have a substription with then now! and that you need to cancel this, read the terms & conditions that are boring to read.
Look at the previous posts, they will guild you.
Quoted by tlf11 The Terms and Conditions will guide you for your solution not the rantings of PEOPLE HERE.
So we all rant do we, what do you do?
But I told you before that the terms and conditions are very very boring to read and the best advice would be to read the previous posts with the terms and conditions ###.
if you did not do that whats the point of this site
Whether you, or anyone else, thinks these are boring is irrelevant to the fact that they are a binding agreement i.e. whatever is laid out in these is what will happen during the term of your agreement.
Most of these people do not know where to start, blinding them with the boring small print of the terms and conditions can only confuse, so reading the previous posts here must help them more
Listen, I get that you find them boring to read. I really do. I think they're boring to read as well. However, what these say is what you, the signee, have agreed to and are all that really matter to resolving your dispute.
I do agree with you on your statement, but I don't have a dispute with them as I did not buy any of those stupid berries as you can buy these from the stores in town anyway.
So why are you here then?
Would like to ask you the same question?
My mother was the one that thought ordering something that would only cost her $ 2.95 for postage was a bargain, and not realising that there was a subscirption attached to an agreement, then suddenly seeing a sizable sum of money disapearing from her bank account, and being stupid enough to use a debit instead of a credit card, and for not reading the terms and conditions.
But fortunately with some help the bank was able to chargeback on payments taken/sent and the funds were returned to her account.
I would like to know why I am here also.
Hi Cel, Why are you here?
Thats just it, thats why the problem happened.
(not reading the boring small print first)
You see, my mother has learnt a lesson and will not buy in future without reading the terms first, or using a debit card unless the seller is known to her, you see, the problem was that she is 85 years old and at that age you get confused.
but in future she now know's what to do, do your research first.
Like many people here I got ripped off to the tune of £150 but fortunately I cancelled my Nationwide visa credit card and got the money refunded by the same. The super açai scam is well known to visa fraud and I was told they operate a complex web; you try cancelling payments with one company but then payments continue to be deducted by others.
Keep all records of transactions including phone calls, emails, dates, and cancel your credit card immediately. Contact your cc provider who hopefully, like nationwide, will reimburse you.
"and being stupid enough to use a debit instead of a credit card", and for not reading the terms and conditions.
She needs to take more care in future, when buying from who you do not know, the blame is with her, she know this.
I dont know why you idiots are still talking about terms and conditions, let alone reading them. Didn't I make it clear to you that this is a scam and that reading terms and conditions or otherwise still results in being ripped off? You cannot get in touch with the company, they do not respect cooling off days, they abuse credit card details an debit card details by passing on to other fraudelent companies (that one didn't sign up for) AND, I hope you hear this bit, they are known to the fraud squad. Doesn't this make your argument about reading terms and conditions ridiculous?
I don't somehow think that my cc company would refund me if they didn't think the super acai scam stank do you? Find something constructive to say please...
Actually @TheLoveFist II, that was probably a big ask (finding something constructive to say), sorry, I've just had a random browse through most of your 900 posts and you are a wind up merchant. Oh and dont bother responding with your terms and conditions nonsense or any other of your unhelpful comments, keep them for your Canadian compatriots.
I dont know why you idiots are still talking about terms and conditions, let alone reading them.
Do you find them boring to read, I do, its the small print I bet, but they do need reading first, as if you had read them, you would not be here complaining today, but like you said they are well organised, through out the world for some year's now.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS COMPANY?>
I too was pulled in by this company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. I cancelled online, and tried to call several times and months later they are still sending the product and charging my account. After finally getting through to them by phone [protected], and directed to put in my order number by automation, (there are several: 181039-7; SO3 STD I was told that my account can not be found. Yet I am stilling receiving orders, the lastest today, 4/18/2011.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS COMPANY?
Have you read the terms and conditions that are boring to read, its the small print that you agree to!
Cancel your card now to stop them, and speak to your bank about a chargeback.
would just like to update it as been 4 weeks since i got sucked into this bloody scam, i canceled my debit card and was told by the bank there was no way they could get anymore money from my account, which i stupidly belived.Yesterday i went to the bank to find i was severly overdrawn!this company has taken yet more money from my account, the bank are refusing to give me any money back so have had to close my account and basically told bank they can kiss my ### for overdraft back.Be warned canceling your card does NOT mean they cannot withdraw from your account! P.S i do not advise anybody to kick off in bank thought i was gonna get arrested today.
