Comfort Windows & Doors Syracuse, NY – Window warranty

I purchased windows through Comfort Windows in Syracuse, NY, which were manufactured by Alside. Four of these windows developed defects that should be covered under the warranty.

On June 4, I notified Comfort Windows of the issue.

On June 5, I submitted photos of the defective windows.

On June 9, I received a denial citing missing serial numbers.

That same day, I provided the serial numbers and resubmitted the photos.

Since then, I’ve received no response from either company. Comfort Windows referred me to Alside, but Alside has failed to follow up or take responsibility. I’ve provided all required documentation and followed their procedures, yet my warranty claim remains unresolved.

This lack of accountability and refusal to honor a valid warranty is unacceptable. I’m filing complaints with the BBB, FTC, and the New York State Attorney General’s office. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with these companies.

Desired Outcome: Replacement of the defective windows under warranty and a formal response acknowledging the claim.
