In June 2022 he installed an irrigation system and the next day we had water flooding our yard and running down the street contacted them they showed up at 11am spent 3 hrs to fix it. the entire job was finished at the end of June after 3 and half months the job was wrapped up. Then Oct 7th my wife went outside and noticed water flooding our yard when she investigated she found the back flow box and the city water shut off box full of water flooding down the street. I shut off the water to the sprinkler system and it it still kept flowing. We contacted the city and they came out and shut our water to the house off. We did not know where the water came from he said we had a really significant water problem and said we needed a plumber. After calling around we got Roto Rooter to come in and when they excavated they found the problem was incorrect materials were used to splice into my main water line to provide water to the sprinkler system. Roto Rooter made three observations CJ Lawn & Landscaping was using a brass T fitting that snapped, used steel clamping device both were materials that would corrode over time being under ground and there was no gravel to support the back flow pipes going into the ground and connecting to the main water line. So after the repair was done I sent CJ lawn & Landscaping an explanation, photos and the invoice. He responded with why didn't I didn't call him I responded with I didn't know where the leak was and it was the recommendation I call a plumber, CJ Lawn & Landscaping are irrigation specialist not plumbers. I had spoke to both plumbers and irrigation specialist and they said the same thing. He said he would not reimburse me the cost of the repair even if it was determined it was a failure on his part.
Country of complaint: United States
Desired outcome: I would like for him to reimburse me my invoice which is $1900.00
