I would advise any student who is considering attending City Vision University to please look elsewhere. This "school" is a complete joke. First, if you are considering the "Addiction Counseling" program, you should know that they are overcharging students by using another company's courses called Net Training Institute. You can take these courses at a much cheaper price than what City Vision University is charging students and save your money.

Another gripe that I have with this school is that their instructors are rude and lack intelligence. They post incoherent grammatically incorrect instructions, and get upset when students have no clue what to do or how to complete an assignment due to their mistakes. Also, this school has practically no standards when it comes to the quality of work that students are expected to turn in. I have witnessed students whom are blatantly illiterate and yet they were passed on from course to course. So, it's evident that they do not subscribe to any sort of academic integrity at all, as students are allowed to post any kind of junk and yet they are still passed and allowed to finish the course. This school appears to only care about receiving government pell grant funds, and they appear to care little about the actual quality of the education that students are receiving.

I definitely would never recommend this "school" to anyone who is serious about their education. In my opinion, I feel that this school is more comparable to a job corps program than a college/university and they should not have the privilege to call themselves a university. It's a shame that the government is wasting funds by allowing these substandard barely functioning online schools to operate and accept government funds. This needs to stop! It is an egregious waste and students deserve better than what sham schools like City Vision are offering.

We are sorry that you felt dissatisfied by the quality of education you were receiving at City Vision University. If you had these types of concerns while a student with us, you were free to let us know and we would address them to the best of our abilities.

We have hundreds of students and dozens of satisfied graduates each year. You can see some of their stories at the Success Stories page on our impact.cityvision.edu website.

Our Addiction Counseling program has some material in common with the Net Training Institute curriculum, but their program is not accredited so you cannot transfer it elsewhere for academic credit. This also means our program is more recognized toward certification or licensure in many states. Also, we heavily revised and added to the curriculum. For example, their program did not cover the latest version of the DSM (DSM-5) and it did not cover trauma care.

We have worked hard to ensure the quality of our instructors. We are sorry you encountered some that did not meet your standards. We have not allowed any instructors that received largely negative complaints to continue with us. All our current ongoing instructors have over 75% satisfaction ratings.

If there is anything else that we can do to address your concerns, please let us know.
