I received a letter around the first week of October 2022 in regard to a final inspection is required at my late father's home. So, I called the City of Woodhaven and asked for Karen Chappell, Building Department Clerk to respond to her letter. Karen Chappell stated someone from the City of Woodhaven went to my late father's house in August 2022 and no one answered. I explained to her that my father had passed away and that is the reason there was no response. She just jumped to the fact that the house needed to be inspected and fill out the paperwork with a $200 check and return. This woman was so uncompassionate. She did not bother to extend any type of condolences or anything else. I know some people just don't have any class, but I know it is not required for them to do so but it would help to have some kind of heart in there. I called back and talked Laura and she was a little bit friendlier but no condolences from her as well. Anyway, I followed the instructions and sent the paperwork. No response from the city in several weeks so I had to call, and I was told by Laura that the inspection report was sent to me by email. I checked my email, and I couldn't find it in my INBOX. I was told to check my spam folder and it was not there. Laura resent the email and it said the inspection failed in the electrical portion. I called Karen Chappell and as usual her response was cold and kind of nasty. I had someone from Haddock Electric to explain what was needed. $3,888 dollars later, I was able to get the Certificate of Occupancy and it came in the spam folder again. You all need to fix that! I get all my important emails in my INBOX.
Desired outcome: This was a difficult time for me. I have a low tolerance for her type of behavior in person or over the phone. Karen Frazier
