Cat Genie review: Self washing cat box

I had to store an expensive Cat Genie cat litter box. Now the to have a cat again I am trying to out it back in service. For some reason I am missing small male connector on the swing arm of the scoop mechanism. Otherwise the litter box performs perfectly. It is plumbed and it cycles exactly as it should.

Petnovations refuses to sell me the necessary part only because the litter box was stored. It is outbid warranty but the part exists, is available, and easily installed.

They are perfectly willing to sell me a completely new litter box at retail cost but offer no assistance otherwise. This seems grossly unfair.
