I purchased an AKC registered boxer from this lady over a year ago. Since then, I have spent over $10, 000 in vet bills alone. Starting from the first day I picked her up, she had a UTI. This UTI took over 3 months to get rid of. During the last month of treatment I once again reached out to Donna Carbine. She informed me that puppies just sometimes get UTIs. After more discussion, she later told me that some of her boxers have been diagnosed with Juvenile Kidney Disease. For those that don't know, JKD is always fatal. It is also extremely painful. This disease can only be passed on genetically and all breeders who have JKD in their genetics must pull said dogs from breeding. Donna clearly did not adhere to these rules and kept breeding. After months of treatment, I was informed that it was only a UTI. My dog is still alive, but she admitted that some of there dogs have JKD, which is complete negligence on her part to continue operating a "business". Flash forward, and my dog now has an umbilical hernia, which you can only get from bad genetics. We are currently getting ready to deal with this new set of problems, but she should shut her operation down immediately.

Desired outcome: Close down business

I do not remember my old password, but am commenting on this post as I posted this out of frustration. Donna carbine was a great breeder and I overreacted to her UTI. She does not JKD and is very healthy now. I am sorry for the confusion and it was a miscommunication

Also, meant to mention that my puppy does NOT have JKD and I misheard Donna carbine on the phone. She does NOT breed dogs with any type of defect.

tyler179777,

Thanks for your review. As you have noted, your puppy does not have JKD. As we discussed on text messages, I guaranteed to take the puppy back and replace it if it had anything genetic that was not curable. On 7/23/20, I texted you "If it's something genetic, and not cureable, then I will give you a replacement puppy. Please keep me posted. Unfortunately, these types of thing do happpen in Boxers.". None of my dogs have EVER had JKD, so it's FALSE for you to say that. As you stated, your dog had a UTI, which is very common.

Umbilical hernias are the most common type affecting newborn puppies, which is why I clearly state in my contract that I don’t guarantee against them and that they can easily be fixed during the spay or neuter surgery.

I offer a one-year health guarantee for my puppies, and I stand behind my litters.
