It has come to my attention after purchasing 2 paintings from Candy Waters Autism Artist that this is a scam. If you look on google you will see several videos of Candy and she is NOT painting the drawings that are being sold. A specialist viewed her and said in no way could this child paint these beautiful paintings.
I have a grandson with Asperger's Syndrome (Austism Spectrum) and find it appauling that parents would exploit their child this way.
The family will deny these allegations but I am finding this all to be true and it breaks my heart. Check out Candy Waters Autism Scam on google and you will find a few videos and other sites that show there is no way this child painted these drawings. I ask that you stop selling their product as you have a good name.
I do not want anything back I just do not want to see the parents make money off of their special needs child.
Thank you.
Anyone who got ripped off by Sandy Waters is encouraged to report her to the Chicago BBB using this address. https://www.bbb.org/scamtracker/chicago/reportscam
Sandy Waters is now spamming the Chicago BBB in the name of an "In-Home-Autism-Therapy" business for the sole purpose of selling her fraudulent art. The "Website" button on the BBB page, takes us to the "Candy Waters Autism Artist" facebook page. She also don't list her name under "Business Management" and doesn't state her profession under "Business Category". There is a legitimate "In-Home Therapy Business" and than there is "Candy Waters Autism Artist" which I find highly suspect for comparison. I've been checking the BBB pretty often and was surprised Sandy Waters finally did it in a Twitter post.
Would love to see those licenses and that business license.
Me too. I bet she hasn't had any training either.
Agree. The wording has changed over the years too.
Yes, sadly I believe it is true. Having done my research and looked over the available videos, I see no correlation between most of the art sold and what the child does. The mother constantly spams facebook groups, and, from what I see now is slandering two people and their businesses. She is constantly harassing them and others she calls "Trolls" because many people have asked about or questioned the work. These innocent people who ask such questions are immediately blocked and the question deleted on the facebook page Candy Waters Autism Artist. I feel sorry for those who have been duped by these sad business practices. The parents sell the artwork on several platforms, one being Zazzle. In the beginning before the public took notice of her practices.. the parents toted that Candy did all of the work, each stroke to the final dab of glitter, now they are back peddling to say "she paints "ON" each painting" and "being her humble helpers, to, now, they collaborate with their daughter using hand over hand.. I highly doubt the flourishes and ease of strokes are done with hand over hand .. I claim not collaboration, but COLLUSION. Shame, just a shame. Below I attached her previous manifest on Candy Waters Zazzle account.. you be the judge.
