At around 2am Doha Time, I thought I would grab a sandwich and a drink at the Camden Food Co (Food Court) at Hamad Intl Airport.
When I got to the till, I decided not to get the fruit smoothie and instead opt for a Coffee. The Philipino lady at the till was livid. She gave me a death stare and replaced my sandwich with a muffin. She did not offer me a coffee either and I was left with a smoothie and muffin. She warmed everyone's meals except mine. She just slapped two notes on the counter as change for the dollar bills I had handed her. The returned dollar bills were literally crushed and ripped and I could see she did it out of spite just because I wanted a change to my meal plan. When I asked her to replace the note, she took it back and slammed shut the money tray and walked off. What kind of woman is that! Why would you even employ someone who has no respect for her customers! It was totally outrageous. I watched from afar and I could tell she was being extra nice to caucasian looking people and nasty to those with Asian looks. Disgusting! I am really sad that I was treated so badly.
Desired outcome: I would really appreciate if your hospitality management team assessed the behaviour and service of the staff that you hire at HIA. For such a beautiful airport, such bad customer service is totally unacceptable
