Purchased a 2016 MKZ from Beau Townsend Ford on 31 July 2023. Within a month (before my first scheduled payment due and still with temporary tags on the vehicle), the brakes failed, and the transmission and ptu went out. Almost causing an accident while my 22 year-old was driving on a busy road. The car was towed to the dealership on 31 August and has been sitting there ever since (today is 22 September). Was told that cost of repair would be $8,800. I mentioned a recall that was issued by NHTSA in March of 2023 that has gone unrepaired (and was in effect months before my purchase). I received a text message on 11 Sep with a link informing me of the status of repair and it's still waiting to be worked on a/o 22 Sep.

On 7 Sep, I sent an email to the entire staff with issues concerning the car, I left 2 voicemails for owner himself, and 1 to the service advisor, but the email and phone calls have gone unanswered. I can't even get an update, or any assistance at all. So today I contacted the Customer Care Complaint Line and they were able to get a hold of the service department at Beau Townsend Ford. Answer: They will call me back Monday. I have been a repeat customer to this establishment, but apparently that means nothing to them.

Desired outcome: Of course Recall 23V162 should be fixed, but my main objective is to eitherhave the dealership fix the transmission/PTU at a significantly reduced cost or let me out of this fraudulent deal altogether!
