The hotel staff in this hotel are thieves. During my stay, our room was robbed by the hotel staff (4/18/17). How do we know? Well it's pretty obvious when you go to sleep with your belongings and wake up without them (Phones and cash), and the only people who have access to your room is hotel security and house keeping. These people are all connected and they are thieves. Henry at front desk is where it starts, i'm sure he gets a cut giving the right information to the right people, what room... How much cash he saw.. Etc. Oh, also, there are no cameras on the premises - how convenient.
What's worse of this traumatic experience is the hotel did absolutely nothing. It was as though it happens all the time. Sandy - at guest services said "how do I know you are not making this up?" - we demanded the police be called, and he would not do it. We demanded a shuttle to the police station (Because our cash was robbed) and he would not provide it. We finally had to contact the united states embassy for assistance and even then there was no result. Severino jimenez was even worse, he came to "investigate" which was have us search through our own stuff to make sure we weren't lying - and then we never saw him again. Probably because he got his cut too.
We made our anger, fear and frustration and you better believe we informed everyone who spoke english about what happened.in speaking with other guests we found out many others were robbed as well. One couple's room was robbed while they were sun bathing on the patio of their room, the items they placed in the safe, gone. The hotel tries very hard to keep you quiet, and when we got a little to loud about it henry decided to lay a nice threat on us the night before we left "you better watch what you say, it will get you in trouble". Needless to say we high tailed it out of that uncivilized corrupt jungle.
In my pictures you'll see a name, efrain, well we made efrain write down his name because we asked him for sheets and towels almost 8 hours ago and still didn't have them. The next picture is the back of the piece of paper he gave us. Yup - that's a copy of someone's passport. Out of respect for that woman I blocked out her name - but I have her name and her passport number. So your private legal documents are basically being passed around the hotel!
We would like a refund of what we spent on this hotel. We also want to warn other americans to not go to this hotel.
we where told that we will be held hostage at punta cana majestic miraj if we didnt pay the bill that we payed in full in feb for a may trip. this was the most scariest thing ever. we had to plan our escape. they locked our room key and we showed them confirmation of our full pay and they still treated us like slaves
