This company is scam. They claimed that I enrolled on their website and purchased the 1st product with a trial membership and allegedly since I did not cancel, they had the right to charge my account $9.95 per month... Here is the problem. I never enrolled nor purchased any item from this company.

Discountbooksale.com is a scam company. They attract buyers with reasonably cheap book price and later deduct money from your credit card over a period of time without any notice .If you call them back then you get advertisement of their product offers than offering solution.
Solution:
You need to call your credit card company and approach the discountbooksale.com through them.A better word for this cheater company is to sue them.

Be careful while buying books from such websites.i have experienced a bad thing.

I was charged $9.95 a month for a membership subscription WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. When I called the company they said they could not open my account, that the Internet connection was poor, and they would call me back in 10 minutes. They would not let me speak to a manager. After a half hour of waiting, I was told only half of my money would be returned to me, and the other half would need authorization from the company to be given back to me.

On 8/5/10, I was charged $9.95 for books ordered in July, 2010 and paid for in July by the BBV Discount Booksale company. I have found out that this company has been practicing this unauthorized transactions with other customers and I am truly upset. I want this charge removed and my account debited. Yes, there should be a class action suit made and this company put out of business.

I bought one book about three months ago, and they have continued to charge me $19.95 per month for no service or products. When I telephone they say "computers are down, call later" or some other stall. I want to cancel whatever I had.

I too am being scammed! BBV has been charging my credit card, and I have not joined any club etc. And the phone number behind the company charge is disconnected. Does anyone have this groups address? It would be helpful to have it to direct inquiries and the attorney general of Florida to them.

I called to cancel membership last month. I was billed for membership this month. I was told membership was canceled, yet I was charged for it again.

Please cancel membership & credit my account.

$9.95 was charged to my credit card today from BBV Discount Book Sale. I bought a book about a month ago from this website. I called the company and they said that I had signed up for a membership ($9.95 a month) and that is why I got free shipping. NO WHERE on the receipt or confirmation page did it note that I was signing up for a membership. This store is sneaky and out to steal your money. I had to argue with the sales rep for 10 minutes before threatening to get someone higher up involved. I looked online and found that they had done this to many other people! Finally, the sales rep agreed to refund my account and close my membership. Buyers beware.

The past three months I have had deducted on the 30th of Nov., 2020, Dec., 2010, and January (2011),
an unauthorized decuction of $19.95. I will be contacting the BBB and the State of Florida authorities regarding this. Immediately. This will be dealt with.

I was purchasing books for a Women's Get Away Bible Study and I ordered a lot of discounted books for about 10 women and I got them from the cheapest places that I could. Most of the books were used because we were trying to cut expenses. The Bible Study was Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl. and I also purchased some discounted journals and I was told tonight, 3-23-13, that because I took a $5.95 discount on these book I was signed up for a "BOOK CLUB" which they have been billing me for since April 2011. If my caclulations are correct, that is $400. And the customer service person told me that they are only allowed to refund $39.95. My husband is a minister and he is ordering books all the time. I also order Bibles all the time for the youth at my church. I never dreamed I was being Rip-Off by these morans. I even asked how this girl Roasetta could even stand to work for such people as these. I told her I believed I would eat Grass before I would work for them. Poor Pastor's Wife.

Ordered two books from this company on 12/01/10 for $24.67. Got an email that it was shipped on 12/2, on 12/3 they took $1.00 out of my account as part of the membership charge(?)and then on 12/9 they took out $9.95 for the membership fee (what membership?). I called the company on 12/10/10 spoke with customer service, told me that I should wait a few more days for the books, ok. I then asked about the dollar and the 9.95, of course I was told this was the membership fee, I told c/s/r I did not want a membership, he was GLAD to cancel it, what he didn't tell me was that he didn't refund the money. When I called today 12/14/10, they again told me I should wait a few more days for the books. The company also gives a USPS tracking number, well mine is no good, post office has no record of such a number, they stated that it was never entered into the post office, I called back Discount Books, got them to give back the $10.95 (HOPE IT SHOWS UP IN MY ACCOUNT!) The books at this point are nowhere to be found, Mr. ZENON (they have great names, I have spoken to MADS, SUNNY, ZENON THE SUPERVISOR AND mario) will contact the shipping department and get back to me. I told him my mail usually arrives between 11 and 12 noon, If I have not received the books or a return call from the company there will be hell to pay. So far three calls, four customer service reps, several hours on the phone and no results. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THIS COMPANY STINKS, I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU... My name is Randy Peters and you can contact me at stillrandaroo@hotmail.com.

And again, same story. Argued for 15 minutes on the phone, lady kept saying it was my fault, I signed up for the membership. NO, I did not. Finally, I threatened a law suit and she quickly said they will refund my account. They know what they are doing is wrong.

Did they credit the amount back to your card? The company did the same thing to me today. As soon as I mentioned involving someone higher up the sales rep immediatly told me she would refund my money - after 10 minutes of trying to convice me it was my fault. This company is horrible.

Same story here. They were charging me for 4 months. They only agreed to refund 3 months and called it a "courtesy refund" and gave me the tone that that was more than I deserve.

Same thing happened to me! I bought a couple of books on their site and all of a sudden I'm being charged $9.95 a month. I never joined a membership with them. I'm calling them now and hope to get this canceled.

I bought a book from BBV discount books when I signed up I carefully read and never saw where there was a monthly fee of 9.95 or that there was a 30 day trial. If there was it must have been so small I didn't notice or couldn't read it.
I ordered a book it never showed. They charged me 4.99 then the very next day 1.00 then today they charged me 9.95 which bounced my acct and i'm in the red by 14.95 so now I am out 30 bucks and no book to show for it. The lady I spoke to on the phone was NEL all she could say was 'How can I solve that for you", or " Have i completed your request to satisfaction" I had to tell her to cancel then I told her that her company needs to send an email stating that they plan on taking said amount out on this so so date pls be sure funds are in the acct for transaction.
In my honest Opinion this is not a good company. If they are also pulling money from ppl who have never signed up then obvioiusly they are up to no good. With the economy like it is we don't need this type of business out there.
Hey obama how bout doing something about this while you are in office.

I do not recommend this site i have also found other complaint blog sites that have complaints against this web company.
https://www.discountbooksale.com

And honestly if you are paying 9.95 a month then your really not saving anything. 4.99 for the book I bought then 9.95 I could have went to Books a million and come out happier.
It was a paper back book that retailed @ 14.99

I guess I will stick with Amazon.com at least they are reliable and don't over charge or fraudulent charge folks.

Get the work out folks if you have been taken advantage of by this company blog it on facebook, myspace and anyother personal page you may have that is the only way to put a hurt on them.
