I have to say, I had a terrible experience with Basic Trailers. I was in the market for a new trailer and decided to give them a shot. What a mistake that was! First off, they couldn't even measure a trailer properly. I asked for a 10?5 garden trailer and received a 10?4.2. That's a big difference! When I brought it up with them, they were completely unhelpful and refused to do anything about it. They wouldn't even give me a refund.

To make matters worse, the paint work was dodgy at best. It was rushed and looked terrible. When I complained about it, they offered me a can of paint to take home. Seriously? I paid $13,000 for a trailer and that's the best they could do?

The customer service was also terrible. The staff were rude and unprofessional. When I spoke with the manager, Malcolm, he was arrogant and lied to my face. He claimed that he had shown me through the yard and measured up other trailers, which was a complete lie. I never went through any trailer measurements, only the mower box measurements.

To top it all off, the shelving was not measured properly and tie down points were missed. I was forced to sell the trailer at a massive loss.

I wouldn't recommend Basic Trailers to anyone. They're a terrible company with poor customer service and lying staff. Don't fall for their traps like I did. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. And I have no doubt that their response to this review will be full of lies and excuses, just like the trailer they built for me.
