Two months ago I purchased a 2022 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody. I took my vehicle to Autonation Dodge in Valencia California due to a very minor recall service. On 09/21/22, around 11am, after the recall was repaired, an employee of Autonation (Who is not a mechanic or technician) took my vehicle for a test drive and crashed it causing serious damage. Thankfully, nobody was injured. The general manager took my vehicle to a third party auto body shop without my knowledge or authorization instead of calling me first to inform me of the incident. He didn’t call me until several hours later. When he called me, he told me the damage was very minor and that they would have it repaired. Upon seeing the car in person, it was obvious the damage was more severe than he claimed. The vehicle only has 3,000 miles. The manager was rude and offensive. Why is a person, who is not qualified to inspect a vehicle allowed to drive a customers high performance car to ensure its working properly? Additionally, why would the manager send my car out to be repaired without my knowledge or authorization?
Country of complaint: United States
Desired outcome: Repairing will not solve the issue. The vehicle will not drive the same and will lose significant value. my vehicle needs to be replaced or fully refunded.
