Angelica review: 2014 kia sorento

I bought a 2014 Kia Sorento LX 65,000 from My local drivetime in St paul MN. This was the the biggest mistake I made. I bought the vehicle on September 27 2022spent pretty much half day on dealership grounds testing and driving certain cars which all had high miles most didn't have good breaks but all cars had new tires. I had picked 3 cars did pick the other cars because there were issues but the kia at that point didn't, signed papers and I was on my way as i get about 6 miles away from dealership it started smoking from tailpipe which was a constant occurrence. Got home and in the morning of the next day I did a little research about the smoke and the poor gas mileage I was getting. It was recommended to check oil so I did that the oil was overfilled a lot. I called drive time they told me to call sliver rock which was the extra warranty I purchased since it was with in my first 30 days and under my 1500 miles there would be no fee so I picked a shop in their network called the shop explained the issues and made my appt, I also called the kia dealership in Eau claire Wi spoke with someone in service explained my situation he basically told me he couldn't do anything unless the car stopped working had to do with warranty issues. I waited to take my car in arrive at the shop on a Saturday appt was at 12pm advised them to take their time and you have the car for the rest of the day which was for 5-6 hours. Car was looked at maybe about an hour was told there was nothing wrong but the sparkplugs that he brought in he showed me could of been replaced but the tech opted not too he didn't think it was needed. I advised him that I was going to clean the tail pipe as much as i could just so that way I could monito the smoking from the tailpipe. This car has 2 problems crappy gas miles filling up every 2 days and the check engine light kept going on and off so it was really hard to get the code read and smoking from the tail pipe. I owned this car for 2 months put about 2500 to 3500 miles on it and this was the only car on the lot that had low miles compared to 87000 or 155000 i was doing errands stopped to drop off some stuff at a friends house once I stopped in driveway it started smoking it was hard to put in park but after the car was put in park the smoke got thicker and flames started coming out of hood I quickly grabbed my cell phone and some belongings got out. I had called drivetime before and asked them how to bring this car back to them I was told to call the extended warranty service SilverRock ok So i called them then they told me to call bridge crest the finance company they told me to call drivetime so as you can see no one wants to take any kind of responsibility for the car
