Americas Best Contacts & Eyeglasses review: Diabetic eye exam

On approximately march 1 called america's best @ janaf shopping center, 5802 e virginia beach blvd suite 107 norfolk va. 23502 to schedule a diabetic eye exam. I was given an appointment for monday march 13, 2023 @ 11:00 a.m.

I went to store for this service and stated to employee @service counter that I was there for a diabetic eye exam. Went to back of store to wait my turn, was called on when it was my turn, was then examined by eye dr. And dismissed with the understanding that exam was done. I got home and upon reflection realized that my eyes had not been dilated (I have had multiple eye exams over the past 50+ years and dilation was always been a part of this exam). I called the store and asked if they had performed the service and was told by employee they did. I checked with my insurance and they had only submitteed for a standard exam. Insurance told me that they would call provider and check. Insurance called me back and confirmed that they had only performed a standard exam. My insurance has a program called go365 which rewards me a $25 credit for getting a diabetic eye exam yearly. As things are now I will not be getting the reward.

My insurance is with humana. My insurance i.D. Is h64589170, plan is (80840) [protected]. In my opinion the employee who booked the appointment as well as the employee at counter had no idea that there is a differance in the 2 types of exam. My insurance covers a diabetic eye exam 100% yearly.
